Context Trivia / AkazukinChacha

Go To

* ActingForTwo: Sorges, Yordas, and Haideyans are all voiced by the same person, Creator/YujiMitsuya, and so this leads to many instances of Yuji talking to himself any time they interact. It’s especially noticeable with the latter two since they’re always together.
* CelebrityVoiceActor: Riiya is voiced by Shingo Katori from the BoyBand [=SMAP=], who were also the original performers of the opening theme, "Kimi Iro Omoi."
* ChildrenVoicingChildren: Shingo Katori was 16 years old when he started voicing Riiya in the anime.
* ColbertBump: Beyond Birthday, the VillainProtagonist of ''Literature/AnotherNote'', admits he was a big fan of ''Akazukin Chacha'' when he was younger. He spends ''an entire paragraph'' gushing over it when taking note of manga found in a victim's home and [[spoiler: ''purposely'' even left a clue in one of the books.]] As a result, lots of readers of that novel, upon finding out that the series ''is'' indeed real, decided to check it out for themselves.
* CrossdressingVoices: Shiine is voiced by a woman in Japanese (Noriko Hidaka), English, and Korean (Lee Seonho).
* FollowTheLeader:
** In the manga, which came out a year before ''Manga/SailorMoon'', Chacha is a fairly standard CuteWitch. In the anime, which came out two years after ''Anime/SailorMoon'', she's been given a blinged-out TransformationTrinket and a sparkly StockFootage-tastic TransformationSequence that briefly turns her into a textbook MagicalGirlWarrior so she can take down the MonsterOfTheWeek.
** The show was also made by the same studio behind the production of ''Anime/NurseAngelRirikaSOS'' (though that show came a year later), so the transformations look pretty similar.
* KeepCirculatingTheTapes: Looking for the English dub that aired on Cartoon Network in Southeast Asia? Good luck as no home media releases of that dub have surfaced, & this dub seems to have never aired anywhere else.
* NoExportForYou: Neither the manga nor the anime was released in North America or Europe.
* TheOtherDarrin:
** In the PC-FX game, while everyone else reprised their roles, Shingo Katori didn't reprise his role as Riiya and was replaced by Yoshinobu Kaneko who had voiced some bit characters in the show prior to this.
** In the Philippines, there are two versions of the Filipino dub of the anime. The 1998 version uses pure Tagalog in its dialogue but the 2007 version (the existing dub found on the internet) uses Taglish. As a result, both versions have different voice actors.
* StarMakingRole: The anime adaptation turned Chacha's voice actress Creator/MasamiSuzuki into a household name.
