Launched in 2008, Robot Spirits (also known as Robot Damashii) is a line of HumongousMecha action figures produced by Bandai of Japan. Borrowing the design philosophy of their proven Toys/SHFiguarts line, Robot Spirits uses computer-aided design to produce high quality figures of mecha from popular anime series. The line is divided into different "Sides", each named for [[AMechByAnyOtherName the respective show's name for their mecha]] and focuses primarily on RealRobotGenre series, with a few rare exceptions.

In 2013, the line received a tie-in Platform/PlayStationPortable game called ''Battle Robot Spirits'', featuring several figures from the line with some {{Guest Fighter}}s from the Chogokin line, including the [[Anime/SpaceRunawayIdeon Ideon]] and [[VideoGame/ArmoredCore UCR-10/A]].

!! Tropes specific to this toyline:
* AdaptationalSuperpowerChange: The FA-78-2 Heavy Gundam in the line features detachable armor much like the FA-78-1 Full Armor Gundam. In the MSV concept, the Heavy Gundam ditched the armor detachment gimmick to save on money and control its weight.
* AnArmAndALeg: The figures feature detachable limbs but the A.N.I.M.E. line feature battle damage parts to replicate famous dismemberments in the home series.
** From ''Anime/MobileSuitGundam'' there's the Gouf, Char's Gelgoog, the Zeong, and the Gundam itself (though only the Final Battle version).
** From ''Anime/MobileSuitGundam0080WarInThePocket'' there's the Zaku II FZ, and the Gundam NT-1 "Alex" itself (Through only in the standard release)
* {{Fingore}}: The Gundam Alex features battle damage parts to do the scene where its hand is mangled by the Zaku's heat-hawk in the climax of ''Anime/MobileSuitGundam0080WarInThePocket'' and it loses some fingers. Though the premium Bandai release with the Chobham armor removes those battle damage parts.
* NoExportForYou: Tamashii Web Exclusive ones, including the Tamashii Nation Expo exclusive sets.
* RealRobotGenre: Robot Spirits cover this genre of anime mecha.
* SpiritualSuccessor: to the Mobile Suit in Action! and In Action! Offshoot lines.
* UnitsNotToScale: The line is pretty inconsistent with this.
** On the one hand, the Gawain towers over the other Knightmare Frames (which is accurate to the show); on the other hand, the line includes a figure of Bonta-kun (a theme park mascot costume turned into Powered Armor), which can rub shoulders with mecha several times its height.
