* The massacre of the resistance group and later the murder of Tel Varon and his girlfriend in "[[Recap/BlakesSevenS1E1TheWayBack The Way Back]]". It's not that their deaths are particularly sad: it's that they don't matter. No one will notice, no-one will be outraged and, after a little Orwellian editing, no-one will remember they ever existed at all.
* In "[[Recap/BlakesSevenS1E7MissionToDestiny Mission to Destiny]]", Cally passes out from KnockoutGas, but not before speaking a single word telepathically: "Alone..."
* From "[[Recap/BlakesSevenS2E5PressurePoint Pressure Point]]" - the loss of Gan when he's crushed to death by falling debris from an explosion. It's a truly chilling moment as he dies yelling at Blake "Go! I'm not worth dying for!" before being killed. Up till this point the protagonists had spent a series almost emerging unscathed from such situations, often laughing off the after effects.
* "[[Recap/BlakesSevenS2E6Trial Trial]]" sees [[ItsAllMyFault Blake blaming himself for Gan's death]].
** During Blake's absence, Vila states that he wishes Gan was there.
* "[[Recap/BlakesSevenS3E7ChildrenOfAuron Children of Auron]]" has Cally being reunited with her twin sister Zelda. Who then dies.
** Servalan crying over the deaths of her clones.
* "[[Recap/BlakesSevenS3E8RumoursOfDeath Rumours of Death]]" gives us the Avon/Anna backstory. Avon's failed bank fraud resulted in the capture of his lover, who was subsequently tortured to death. Later he learns that the Federation only came after them because they thought he was political, and while trying to get revenge on her killers he runs into Anna herself, who's still alive because she was a high-ranking Federation Security agent assigned to watch him. She tries to kill him and he shoots her dead. Happy endings, eh?
--> '''Anna''': It wasn't all lies. I let you go, my love...
--> ''[Anna then dies in Avon's arms.]''
--> '''Avon''': Oh, no, you never let me go... You never did.
* Deeta Tarrant's telepathic FinalSpeech in "[[Recap/BlakesSevenS3E12DeathWatch Death Watch]]."
--> ''Stupid. Stupid of me. He's fast. He's really fast, Del. Del, I'm sorry. I'm afraid the eavesdroppers have to listen after all. Didn't want a million people in my head when we met. Damn, it hurts. I never should have left you. I missed you, little brother.''
* The death of a ''computer'' in "[[Recap/BlakesSevenS3E13Terminal Terminal]]". Poor Zen...
-->"I am sorry. I... have... failed you."
** Just to make it even sadder, Vila points out that this is the only time Zen ever refers directly to himself.
* Cally's death in "[[Recap/BlakesSevenS4E1Rescue Rescue]]".
** Related to the above, in "[[Recap/BlakesSevenS4E9Sand Sand]]", Vila gets angry when her name is mentioned. In "[[Recap/BlakesSevenS4E13Blake Blake]]", he sadly mentions that she didn't make it out of Xenon.
* "[[Recap/BlakesSevenS4E11Orbit Orbit]]", where Avon and Vila can't gain escape velocity in their shuttle at the current weight, so Avon tries to kill Vila, who happens to match the weight. While Avon's looking for the hiding Vila, you can see tears on Vila's cheeks, from a deleted scene where he was crying (not from fear, but from a sense of betrayal). Even worse, at the story's end, dialogue makes it quite evident what passed for a camaraderie between Vila and Avon is broken and won't be mended anytime soon.
* Finally, of course, comes "[[Recap/BlakesSevenS4E13Blake Blake]]", one of the most tragic series finales ever seen on TV.
