During an encounter with Drakken and Shego, a malfunctioning device accidentally erases Kim's memories. As Ron struggles to get Kim to remember he's her boyfriend, Drakken works on a plan that he claims is "foolproof".

!!This episode contains examples of the following tropes:
* AdviceBackfire: During cheerleading practice, Ron told Kim to ignore what Bonnie says to her. ALessonLearnedTooWell It ends up biting him in the butt when Kim disregards Bonnie's comment about them dating.
* AmnesiaEpisode: Kim loses her memory due to a malfunctioning Irony memory recovery device.
* AmnesiacsAreInnocent: While Kim has always been a good person, she noticeably becomes more naïve and child-like without her memories. The more she remembers, the more she acts like her old self.
* AmnesiacLover: Over the course of the episode, Kim steadily remembers everything about her life--except for the fact that Ron's now her boyfriend, which greatly frustrates him. It's not until the very end of the episode that Kim finally remembers she and Ron are couple (in one of the most heartfelt moments of the series).
-->Kim: I remember that you're my boyfriend! And that I think I love you!
-->Ron: For real?
-->Kim: For real! (hug)
-->Ron: Now this is a memory.
* AsYouKnow: Parodied and Lampshaded in the opening:
-->Drakken: "Shego, at last! Pure nanotronium is mine! The smallest, most powerful energy source known to..."
-->Shego: "Are you for real? I was with you! I know what it is, Doctor Exposition."
* BatmanColdOpen: The episode begins with Kim and Ron foiling Drakken and Shego's theft of an energy source, ending with Ron losing his pants.
* BringIt: When Drakken voices his change of plan to use the mind control serum on Kim instead of the army supplies, she taunts him by beckoning him with a hand gesture.
* ChekhovsGag: Ron losing his pants was actually useful in helping Kim regain her memories of her and Ron dating.
* ContinuityCavalcade: Kim watches a DVD filled with clips of previous episodes. There's also a reference to Rappin' Drakken when Drakken converts his mind control shampoo into a serum. Also, at the end of the episode, there's a montage of all the times Ron lost his pants.
* ContinuityNod: Kim mentions the dream Ron had in "Ill-Suited".
* ContinuitySnarl:
** Among the montage of times Ron lost his pants that Kim remembers were moments from "Exchange" and "Sick Daze", except she wasn't there to see those moments.
** Ron shows a picture of himself and Kim at the prom where they became a couple. In WesternAnimation/KimPossibleMovieSoTheDrama, Kim's dress got singed while fighting one of Drakken’s diablo robots and stayed that way, but in the picture, her dress is intact.
* CripplingOverspecialization: Drakken keeping track of his ideas on 3x5 cards does help him keep focus on the details of his plan. However, he becomes so dependent on following them strictly that as soon as a card is out of order or he forgets to write one, he has difficulty adapting and improvising. For instance, actually bypassing the cooling system rather than faking it, because he forgot to write a card for it.
* CueCard: To keep track of his ideas, Drakken writes down everything on 3x5 cards, much to Shego's chagrin. There's even a moment when Drakken stops mid EvilGloating to read the rest off a card.
* DitzyGenius: Well demonstrated in this episode when Drakken is able to come up with a plan involving taking control of the [=US=] Army through the usage of the military procurement and distribution trains based on a vague dream about "sandwiches, trains, mind control and green men". He forgets to fake a bypass and almost explodes the train instead.
* ExplainExplainOhCrap: Drakken starts describing how he drove all the soldiers off a military train by bypassing the cooling system and activating an engine overload alarm. As Shego, Kim and Ron start asking if he just caused the train to explode, he assures everyone that he didn't... and then realizes that he forgot to write a card to fake a bypass and instead caused an actual engine overload.
* FlowersOfRomance: To prove he was her boyfriend, Ron tried to present Kim with a bouquet of flowers. Unfortunately, Kim thought it was a salad, though Ron admitted it was technically in the salad family.
* LaserGuidedAmnesia: The main focus of the episode.
* LeaningOnTheFourthWall: An amnesiac Kim comments on the implausibility of a highschooler using her cheerleading skills to save the world from supervillains.
* LowClearance: Drakken confronts Kim on top of the train, and ends up getting knocked off when the train heads into a tunnel.
* MyGodYouAreSerious: When Ron initially tells amnesiac Kim that he's her boyfriend, she thought he was joking and snickered. But when she notices that he's not laughing, she's realizes that he's serious about them being a couple.
-->Ron: Oh, that wasn't painful at all.
* NeverMyFault: Drakken denies responsibility for Kim losing her memory because Dr. Langford wasn't the one to fix the Memory Recovery Machine.
* OhWaitThisIsMyGroceryList: This little bit while Drakken is sneaking through the halls of the Middleton Hospital:
-->Drakken: We break into the lab, steal the [=MRM=], I remember my foolproof plan, and then...we bowl with the henchmen! Wait. No. No! Bowling's tomorrow! Grr! These cards are out of order!
* ReversePolarity: Putting the Parapulser Power Cell in backwards caused the [=MRM=] to erase memories.
* RunningGagged: This episode was obviously the big send off for Ron's pants losing gag, despite it being referenced in following episodes. There was even a montage of nearly every time it happened to him.
* ScrewThisImOuttaHere: How Shego reacts when she finds out that Drakken actually did set the train to explode.
* ShoutOut: Drakken's favorite dance show Ballroom With B Actors is clearly a reference to Series/DancingWithTheStars.
* SlasherSmile: Shego grins evilly when she realizes Kim doesn't remember anything.
* TraintopBattle: After Shego bails on him, Drakken tries using the mind control serum on Kim instead, leading to a fight on top of the train that ends with Drakken losing the serum to Kim and getting knocked off when the train entered a tunnel.
* VillainsOutShopping: Apparently, Drakken and Shego had plans to bowl after Drakken's scheme.
* WhatTheHellHero: Mrs. Possible did not approve at all of her husband compressing three seasons' worth of Captain Constellation (a show that Kim hated but that Ron and her father loved) in her memory recovering montage, glaring at him disapprovingly when Kim said the show's catchphrase before leaving for school and outing him at the end of the episode when Kim can't figure out why she remembers everything about the show despite now remembering not being able to stand it (and her father tries to TechnoBabble an excuse for it).
* YouAreGrounded: Mr. Possible grounds the twins after they try taking advantage of their sister's amnesiac state.
* YouJustToldMe: When Kim addresses Wade by name, Ron asks how she knew it, with her replying that he said it first.
