1	Thanks to Mako and Senketsu's efforts, Ryuko manages to break free from Junketsu and Ragyo's brainwashing. Recovered, pissed and very determined not to let everyone's efforts to get her back go to waste, Ryuko puts Senketsu back on and shows Nui what a majorly-powered Kamui user can do. After which, everyone regroups and prepares for the final battle.

5	* AnArmAndALeg: Ryuko cuts off Nui's arms after the latter fails a FlashStep against her. The effect of the Rendering Scissors prevents Nui from reattaching her arms and losing them forever.
6	* BackForTheFinale: Mako gets back her Fight Club Goku Uniform.
7	* BondingOverMissingParents: Their dad was murdered and their abusive mother is leading an alien invasion with no regard for their well being. Plus, they both possess powerful Kamuis. It's enough for Ryuko and Satsuki to unite, though Ryuko is having trouble processing that the person she has been fighting all series is her long-lost sister.
8	* DeathGlare: Ryuko gives a scathing one to Nui, who actually ''backs up'' a little.
9	* EvilCannotComprehendGood: When Ryuko tells Nui exactly why she fights, Nui claims that she doesn't understand "that garbage", citing this behavior as the reason why she hates humans.
10	* GoThroughMe: The Elite Four step in when Ryuko wants to punch Satsuki. Ryuko eventually realizes that Satsuki has her own TrueCompanions just like her, and she backs off.
11	* HeelFaceTurn: In a sense, Iori uses some of Ryuko and Satsuki's blood, as well as Senketsu's fibers, to allow Satsuki to wear Junketsu without worrying about being devoured or brainwashed herself.
12	* HeelRealization: Satsuki admits that her previous methods against Ragyo were flawed and were no better then how Ragyo treated people. Likewise, Ryuko apologizes to Senketsu for her idiocy.
13	* ImpaledWithExtremePrejudice: {{Downplayed}} case, where Satsuki pins down the torn-off Junketsu with the two Bakuzan blades to keep it from escaping.
14	* LaserGuidedKarma: The way Ryuko takes back the rendering scissors is pretty similar in the manner how Nui killed her father Isshin.
15	* LimitedAnimation: The episode's animation quality is often compared to that of Episode 4.
16	* MotivationalLie: Satsuki admits she was lying about being responsible for Nui's attack on their father because she wanted to see how much Ryuko could hold up without being swallowed up by Senketsu and further her plans against Ragyo. While unsaid, the lie also kept Ryuko's focus on Satsuki, rather than go raging back into a battle she wouldn't be able to win.
17	* NextTierPowerUp: Ryuko swipes Nui's Scissor Blade, allowing her to use both to their true potential that her father intended. While the blades together can permanently sever Life Fibers, they are not made back into the original Rending Scissors form yet.
18	* NiceJobFixingItVillain: In her haste to save Nui, Rei leaves behind COVERS to keep the heroes from following her. However, this allows Nudist Beach and the rest of the gang to save the people within them and take the Life Fibers for themselves.
19	* NoGoodDeedGoesUnpunished: Nui vows to punish Rei for interfering, even though Rei just saved her from Ryuko and warned her that she still needs to help with Ragyo's plan.
20	* NoIAmBehindYou: Ryuko pulls this on Nui when she {{Flash Step}}s behind Ryuko to stab her in the neck, just before slicing off her arms.
21	* OcularGushers: Senketsu apparently has hose-like tear ducts [[RuleOfFunny somehow.]]
22	* PunchedAcrossTheRoom: Rather, kicked across the room, as Ryuko finishes her beatdown of Nui by kicking her clean through several sheets of upturned metal.
23	* [[HesBack She's Back]]: Once Ryuko breaks free of Junketsu, Mako throws her Senketsu and she quickly transforms.
24	** There’s a more humorous but still pretty awesome one at the end of the episode, when Mako regains her Fight Club President uniform.
25	* ThisCannotBe: Nui's enraged reaction when she realizes her valuable arms are gone for good.

27	* UnderestimatingBadassery: You think Nui would start being worried when Ryuko manages to backhand her energy blast? Nope, she treats Ryuko same as always and ends up paying for it via her arms.
28	* VillainousBreakdown: Once Nui loses her arms (permanently), her cutesy facade drops and she's left in a murderous rage.
