* ComicallyMissingThePoint: At the beginning, for unexplained reasons, Ed is stuck inside a tin mailbox and is stuck there with Edd and Eddy trying to pry him out with a crowbar. After Rolf gives his "I want to go home" speech to Edd and Eddy, the two start discussing over what Rolf told them then suddenly Ed pops up off-screen having freed himself easily.
-->Eddy: (surprised that Ed is free from the mailbox) Where'd you come from??
-->Ed: Blame my parents, Eddy!
* DiabolusExMachina: It is in-character for Jonny to be curious and not understand his surrondings, but his purpose at the end of the episode is simply to unintentionally expose the scam to Rolf. He and Plank show up unannounced, refuses to leave, and when Jonny runs into one of the made-up buildings, causing it to fall, he and Plank high-tail it outta there.
* TheDogBitesBack: Although not as refreshing coming from Jimmy as it is from Ed or Eddy, Sarah getting yelled at and called out for being such a spoiled brat was a long time coming.
-->Jimmy: (after Sarah insults his driving) If you don't like it, lump it, Miss Sarah!
* HowDoYouSay: Rolf uses this phrase when he attempts to find the western expression for the candy store.
* NoGoodDeedGoesUnpunished: While the Eds did admittedly trick Rolf into paying them to pretend to send him back to his home country, Edd at least demanded they keep up the charade to make him feel better despite Eddy and Ed wanting to immediately head to the candy store. Despite this, he's included in the That's My Horse pounding Rolf gives them through Ed.
* PrefersGoingBarefoot: Judging from Rolf's old photograph, as well as both Ed and Edd's costumes, which lack shoes (Eddy appears to be wearing his normal shoes, which we can assume are not part of his costume), it seems that going barefoot is normal for people in Rolf's home country.
* RestrainedRevenge: ...That said, it wouldn't be hard for Rolf to believe Edd wanting to help, and that his way of going easier on them would be simply performing the song and dance instead to which Eddy and Edd miserably fail to do.
