-->'''--Louise'''

A stuck-in-a-funk Tina falls for a Spanish boy... or rather, the ''voice'' of a Spanish boy... on a language tape from the 80's. Meanwhile, Gene and Louise set out to dunk Mr. Frond at the school fair, and Linda drags Bob into her attempts to make the water booth cool.
----
!!Tropes:
* AssholeVictim: You won't be mourning when Mr. Frond and his phone get dunked.
* BigDamnHeroes: When it becomes clear Tina's throw is on the mark, Mr. Branca is able to save Frond's laptop from going in the water.
** On the opposite end, Tina swoops in to dunk Mr. Frond when Gene and Louise can't land their shots.
* BlatantLies: When Louise and Gene realize Tina has the hots for Rodrigo, Tina hastily claims that everything she said while "flirting" with Rodrigo was gonna be on the Spanish test.
* BookDumb: The A-plot starts because of Tina's poor grades in Spanish.
* ChekhovsGun: In the language tape, Rodrigo teaches the listener (Tina) how to aim a Frisbee. Tina later uses this to hit the dunk tank target.
* CrazyPrepared: Louise and Gene made sure to record over the ''entire'' tape, because they anticipated Tina fast-forwarding through their initial speech.
* DroppedABridgeOnHim: In-universe; when Gene and Louise record over the language tape, Louise has Rodrigo randomly eaten by a crocodile.
* EpicFail: Gene and Louise spend all the money they have on tickets to dunk Frond. Not only do they miss on every throw, they don't come close to hitting the target despite explicitly spending the past week practicing. Subverted somewhat at the end when Tina saves the day.
* ImagineSpot: A lot of Tina's scenes show her picturing her foreign exchange with Rodrigo and his family.
* InUniverseCatharsis: Louise mentions feeling a lot of satisfaction after Frond finally gets dunked.
* JerkassBall: Mr. Frond spends the whole plot rudely mocking kids because they can't dunk him in the dunk tank--which makes Tina dunking him in the end all the more satisfying.
-->'''Gene:''' [[LampshadeHanging Mr. Frond has turned into a real dunk punk]].
* LeaningOnTheFourthWall: Mr. Grant indicates he only recently got his Spanish accreditation, perhaps a reference to how both of his previous appearances had nothing to do with Spanish.
* LovingAShadow: It doesn't get more shadowy than a voice on a 30+ year old language tape.
* OutOfFocus: The language tape actually has ''four'' speakers, all part of one family (Mr. Balthazar, Mrs. Balthazar, Maria Balthazar, and Rodrigo Balthazar), but only Rodrigo gets any significant focus. Justified; Tina specifically fast-forwards through any segment where someone besides Rodrigo speaks.
* PopCulturePunEpisodeTitle: This is the second episode of the show titled after ''Film/YTuMamaTambien'' (after "[[Recap/BobsBurgersS8E9YTuGaGaTambien Y Tu Ga-Ga Tambien]]").
* ShoutOut: The Exterminator Van is [[Series/TheYoungAndTheRestless The Young and the Pestless]].
* SmokingIsCool: Invoked by Linda while writing "cool" things on the water cups. Jimmy Jr. asks why his has a cigarette drawn on it. Bob is shocked by this and Linda awkwardly takes it away and gets a different one.
* SpeakingLikeTotallyTeen: In an attempt to make the water booth seem cool, Linda writes what she thinks are cool words on the cups, like "rad" and "skateboard". She also tries to get Bob to wear a baseball cap backwards.
* SuspiciouslySpecificDenial: Louise's speech to Tina on the tape emphasizes that Gene wanted her to say that ''he'' really wants her to be there because, even if they succeed, it won't be the same without her. Anyway, that's just what Gene wanted Louise to tell her.
