1	A tenuous pact teeters on collapse during mission to liberate the Second Dawn Bunker. Raven and Murphy face a dire choice aboard the Eligius IV.

4	* AddledAddict: Abby's fallen completely into a painkiller addiction. Kane falsely confessing to her theft of the painkillers is what got him stuck in the gladiator pit.
5	* [[BigDamnKiss Big Damn Hug]]: Bellamy and Clarke share two after they are reunited for the first time in six years. Octavia literally ''jumps'' into Bellamy's arms when he descends into the bunker.
6	* BadassPacifist: Kane has taken up this philosophy after all of the trauma he has experienced in the bunker.
7	* BigDamnHeroes: Clarke and Bellamy breaking into the cealing of the bunker and the arena just as Octavia is about to kill Kane.

14	* TheGlomp: Octavia jumps into her big brother's arms when he descends into the bunker.
15	* HumongousHeadedHammer: The grounder Kane faces in the opening wields an enormous hammer. However, reality ensues and Kane is able to use a lighter and faster sword to defeat him.
16	* InfoDump: We get one on Diyoza's backstory, courtesy of Raven and the Eligius IV database. She's a former Navy Seal who became an assassin and terrorist, and was the most wanted criminal on Earth before her capture.
17	* JustInTime: The bunker is opened ''just'' as Octavia raises her sword to kill Kane.
18	* LudicrousGibs: We finally see what one of the BFG's in Diyoza's arsenal can do. One of Octavia's underlings takes the force of it with this effect.
19	* NegatedMomentOfAwesome: Kane amazingly wins the gladiator match and is the last one standing. Octavia immediately declares that it doesn't count, and he will fight again the next day.
20	* TheReveal: Out of the original 1,200 people who sought refuge in the bunker, there are only 814 left.
21	* ScrewThisImOuttaHere: When Dioyza comes looking for a doctor for an unknown reason, Abby does not hesitate to switch to her side so long as Kane comes with her, saving his life. Somewhat jarring considering she's only just been reunited with her daughter before she leaves again. However, Diyoza was holding all of Wonkru hostage at the moment.
22	* SubvertedSuspicionAesop: Octavia immediately doesn't trust Diyoza and the prisoners, even though Bellamy says they have a truce. Viewers see that Diyoza was already breaking the terms of the truce before the bunker is even opened, and when at the end of the episode Diyoza declares the truth null and void, she proves Octavia's suspicions correct.
23	* TheseHandsHaveKilled: Kane has a brief moment during the fight in the gladiator arena, horrified at the literal blood on his hands.
24	* TakeMeInstead: Abby pleads that they send her into the pits, as she is the one who stole the medicine, but Kane takes the fall for it.
25	* TakeThat: Dioyza "compliments" Octavia on her war paint.
26	* TakeAThirdOption: Raven and Murphy are trapped with docking bay doors venting the atmosphere, and their only leverage being pulling the plug on the sleeping prisoners. They opt instead to wake them all up so that they will die too if the oxygen keeps venting.
27	* TookALevelInBadass: Kane apparently took some time to train in hand-to-hand combat during the six years in the bunker. He's not a full Grounder warrior, but he still wins the gladiator match, partially through skill and partly through cunning.
28	* SecretlyDying: Implied. Diyoza makes reference to some sort of sickness that she and [=McCreary=] want to find a cure for. It's her reason for wanting to rescue Abby from the bunker.
29	* ShipTease: Dioyza refers to Bellamy and Clarke as "the hostage taker and his girlfriend."
