!!! Tropes

* ArcWords: John's message to Sarah from the first film.
* AsYouKnow: John Henry recounts his past as Cromartie, angering Ellison.
* CallBack / MythologyGag: Many lines are Reese's speeches to Sarah from ''Film/TheTerminator'', providing echoes of his voice as comfort while she's being treated.
* DeadPersonConversation: Kyle Reese stays with Sarah throughout her ordeal.
* DestroyTheEvidence: Sarah tells Derek to burn the Jeep, because it has her blood all over it.
* DomesticAbuse: The sheriff is strongly implied to have abused Felicia in a previous relationship, causing her to kill him.
* FlashbackWithTheOtherDarrin: Sarah has visions of herself as a waitress at the time of the first film, and in her iconic tank top from T2, both of which are still played by Lena Headey.
* IronicEcho: Felicia says "I swear on a stack of Bibles" to Sarah. Later, when her husband is in the middle [[spoiler: of saying the same thing, she shoots him]].
* KidnappedDoctor: Sarah kidnaps an ER doctor to get her bullet wound treated.
* LeaveNoWitnesses: Weaver methodically slaughters every single person at the factory.
* NotWithTheSafetyOnYouWont: Felicia doesn't really know how to use a gun.
* OnlyAFleshWound: Fairly realistically averted, including the amount of pain when trying to remove the bullet.
* PlotParallel: Sarah breaking out of and then back into the hospital after her shooting is paralleled with Riley in the hospital after her suicide attempt.
* PoliceAreUseless: Averted, for the most part. The cops in the show, for once, find their target, but Sarah manages to escape them.
* RefusalOfTheCall: Sarah says she's not strong enough, and she will die. Kyle disagrees.
* SeriesContinuityError: The scar on Sarah's shoulder, implied to be from being tortured by the T-1000 in T2, is on the wrong side of her body.
* ShoutOut : Sarah's interactions with Ghost Kyle take place in a hotel room with a kitchen (a CallBack to the first film) and a hospital room. (A CallBack to a deleted scene from T2, where Ghost Kyle visits Sarah in Pescadero.)
* SingleTear: Ghost Kyle cries when Sarah explains how she got the scar on her shoulder.
* StockholmSyndrome: Felicia, the doctor, quickly comes to sympathise with Sarah despite being kidnapped, after Sarah gives her the impression that she's fleeing an abusive male partner.
* UnflinchingWalk: Weaver after blowing up the factory, followed by OutOfTheInferno when the explosion catches up with her.
* WeHaveToGetTheBulletOut: It's right over the femoral artery and might be better off left alone.
* WhatWouldXDo: John asks Cameron what "future me" would do.
* VerySpecialEpisode: "The Good Wound" deals in an implied way with DomesticAbuse.
