Due to ''PokéLive!'' being an adaptation of the main ''{{Franchise/Pokemon}}'' games, the ''Franchise/LoveLive'' franchise, the ''VisualNovel/TokimekiMemorial'' games and the ''{{VideoGame/Twinbee}}'' games, especially the [[VideoGame/PokemonBlackAndWhite Unova-based]] [[VideoGame/PokemonBlack2AndWhite2 games]], ''[[VideoGame/LoveLiveSchoolIdolFestival School Idol Festival]]'' and it's ''[[VideoGame/LoveLiveSchoolIdolFestivalAllStars ALL STARS]]'' sequel (As well as the [[Anime/LoveLiveNijigasakiHighSchoolIdolClub Nijigasaki-based]] LL! anime.) and the Kirameki and Hibikino Sagas of ''[=TokiMemo=]'', there's bound to be various references to/adaptations of various events from all across the franchises involved in the crossover.

!Examples:
* ''PokéLive!''Yuu has the same design as her counterpart from the Nijigasaki LL! anime.
* In "Meeting New Friends!", Hilda talks about the events of ''VideoGame/PokemonBlackAndWhite'', but with Dr. Eggman replacing Ghetsis in her retelling.
** From the same story, Tamaki summing up the plot of the game ''{{VideoGame/Aquapazza}}''.
** Also from "Meeting New Friends!", Pastel gives a loose explanation for what typically happens in any given ''Twinbee'' game.
* Just like Honoka in the first ''Anime/LoveLive'' anime series, Larissa was inspired to become a School Idol after watching an A-RISE concert.
* In "A Trip to the Pet Shop!", Shizuku adopts Ophelia, a female Golden Retriever that she owns in the actual SIF All Stars.
* "Nintendo Dream Guest Reviews!" is similar to a Famitsu App 4koma where Rina, Ai and Ayumu review a nonexistent game and where one of the characters gives the game a scathing review.
* In "A Nostalgic Double Battle!", Hilda and Shizuku as well as Bianca and Jennifer ride the Nimbasa City ferris wheel, with the scene being ShipTease for [=HiZuku=] (White Theatre Shipping) and [=JenNca=] (Blonde Helper Shipping), which mirrors the ferris wheel ride scenes in the Unova-based ''Pokémon'' games.
* Part 1 of the first Side Story arc, "The Ideal Hero", is pretty similar to "''The King Returns''" from ''Pokémon Generations'', but Eggman is the one who takes control of Kyurem for a confrontation between him and N, similar to how Ghetsis is in control of Kyurem for his confrontation with N, but unlike "''The King Returns''", there's actually a battle between the fused Kyurem and the other Tao dragon who wasn't fused with Kyurem though it takes place in part 2 of "Ideal Hero".
* Hilda mentions that she was originally a Trainer who participated in the Battle Subway back in her original homeworld in certain stories, which mirrors the fact that whichever character you don't play as can be encountered as the CPU partner for the Multi Battle train in the Battle Subway in the original Unova games.
* Risa mentions Fula City by name in "Introducing Lisa!", which is the setting of ''[[Anime/PokemonThePowerOfUs The Power of Us]]'', the 21st ''Pokémon'' anime movie.
* One piece of fan art on Deviant Art with [[LesYay Hilda and Shizuku]] [[YuriGenre sharing a kiss]] is called "''Baby maybe Koi no Button''", which is also the name of a song sung by the [[Anime/LoveLive Muse]] members.
* The tagline on the main page for the series on Website/ThisVeryWiki is a slightly modified version of the one used for the stories in ''[[VideoGame/LoveLiveSchoolIdolFestivalAllStars SIF ALL STARS]]''.
* Similar to how Chika Takami and You Watanabe were inspired by the Muse girls to create their own School Idol Group, Aqours, in ''[[Anime/LoveLiveSunshine Sunshine]]'', Yoko, Ellie and Margo are inspired by the members of Perfect Dream Project to create their own School Idol group that represents [[OriginalGeneration Hinagiku Elementary]].
* Like her Canon counterpart, Shizuku [[spoiler:hopes to have a kid someday (And her wish is granted in the form of Yoko Catherine Osaka White, a daughter her and Hilda adopt in their adult years in this universe.)]] as well as her interest in Theatre starting from when she was a child.
* Similar to ''SIF ALL STARS'', ''PokéLive!'' takes place in a universe where Muse, Aqours and Nijigaku are all School Idol groups in the same time frame. The ''[=SwSh=] Superstar!!'' stories also add the Liella! girls (And [[VideoGame/PokemonSwordAndShield Gloria]]) to the mix as well.
* Like ''VideoGame/PokemonMasters'', Player Characters from the main ''Pokémon'' games like Hilda have personalities and talk like normal people.
* Just like her Canon counterpart from the ''[=TokiMemo=]'' games, Shiori once went to Kirameki High before transfering to Otonokizaka and in turn, Nijigasaki.
* Hilda's segment of "Gemstone of Illusion!" is a semi-adaptation of the "Listening to Pokémon" Round from the ''Black and White'' chapter of ''Manga/PokemonAdventures''.
** Likewise, Pastel's segment of "Gemstone of Illusion!" has her piloting Winbee and teaming up with her cousin Light, with him piloting Twinbee, to take on Dr. Warumon, as the scene itself would fit in both ''Detana!! Twinbee'' and ''Twinbee Yahho''.
* A portion of the title of "The Origin (Of the Nijigasaki Pokémon Trainer's Club)!" is an allusion to the Japanese title of ''Anime/PokemonOrigins''.
* The Christmas Party in "A Tokimeki Christmas Party!" is similar to the parties that take place around Christmas in any given ''[=TokiMemo=]'' game.
* The battle between Elio and [[spoiler:Giovani in the prologue of the "Rainbow Rocket Project" arc is based on the battle with Rainbow Rocket!Giovanni in ''Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon'']].
** Also from the prologue of the "Rainbow Rocket Project" arc, Eli says that [[spoiler:"SUNNY DAY SONG" is the theme for all School Idols, like it is in the first ''Love Live! School Idol Movie'']].
* From "Cretaceous Hunters and Pennsylvanian Giants, Oh My!", [[spoiler:Eggman creates Genesect in this universe just like Scientist Dudley does in the Unova based games and N also scolds Eggman for modifying a Pokémon]].
* Like in Season 2 of ''School Idol Festival ALL STARS'', Lanzhu's main goal is to disband the Nijigasaki School Idol Club.
* Despite the series being an adaptation of the ''Pokémon'' games, the series isn't above referencing ''Anime/PokemonTheSeries'' as well:
** In "The Origin (Of the Nijigasaki Pokémon Trainer's Club)!", Hilda mentions "[[WaxingLyrical Being the best, like no one ever was]]!", which is a line in the English theme for the Indigo League arc.
** In "Zekrom, The Dragon King!", [[MadScientist Eggman]] uses N's Zekrom (Though, the Dragon of Ideals wears a special armor Eggman created for it that powers it up to make it stronger than it usually is, [[OlympusMons and Zekrom was already strong to begin with]]!), to deliver a CurbStompBattle to the Pokémon of A-RISE (Tsubasa, Erena and Anju) and Saint Snow (Sarah and Leah), inspired by the training montage with [[BloodKnight Mewtwo]] at the start of ''[[Anime/PokemonTheFirstMovie Mewtwo Strikes Back]]'' as well as Gary's battle with Giovanni from the ''Indigo League'' episode "[[Recap/PokemonS1E63TheBattleOfTheBadge The Battle of The Badge]]!".
** In "Risa's and Emma's Double Trouble!?", Risa and Emma sing a slightly modified portion of the lyrics to the English opening for ''Pokémon:The Johto Journeys/[[Anime/Pokemon3 Spell of the Unown]]''.
*** Also from "Risa's and Emma's Double Trouble!?", the Team Rocket [=TRio=] say their famous motto from the original series of the ''Pokémon'' anime and when they are defeated, they also say "Team Rocket's blasting off again!".
** In the prologue of the "Rainbow Rocket Project" arc, [[VideoGame/PokemonUltraSunAndUltraMoon Elio]] says a variant of Ash's famous "[[BadassBoast I won't let you!]]" line to [[spoiler:Giovanni]].
** In "A Trip to the Pet Shop!", Shizuku lampshades a Pokémon using Thunderbolt or Thunder Shock on someone accidentally, which is an allusion to the humorous scenes where Pikachu shocks Ash and/or his friends accidentally using Thunder Shock.
** Certain characters have used the phrase "Beyond Evolution, Mega Evolve!" which is from the ''X and Y'' episodes of the anime, though Brendan and May also used the phrase in the ''Anime/PokemonOmegaRubyAndPokemonAlphaSapphireAnimatedTrailer''.
