Australian musician whose signature style is a dark blend of electronics and orchestra. To date he has completed only one album, 2002's ''Furious Angels'', which includes his most famous calling card "Clubbed To Death" together with a load of other tracks you definitely ''will'' have heard in the background of TV and film. A follow-up was stuck in DevelopmentHell for a long time, but tracks from the sessions started to appear in 2016 and a full album is planned for 2020.

!Tropes seen in Rob Dougan's work:

* AlbumIntroTrack: The literally-named "Prelude".
* DrunkenSong: "Drinking Song", performed in a deliberately slurred style.
* ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin: "Prelude" is a prelude; "Instrumental" is an instrumental (specifically, it's a strings-only version of "One And The Same"); "Pause" is a silent pause between actual songs.
* GratuitousJapanese: "Clubbed To Death (kuryamino variation)". It means "belonging to darkness".
* GratuitousPanning: "Prelude" is deliberately mixed like this in order to have a disconcerting effect.
* [[ScaryMusicianHarmlessMusic Harmless Musician, Scary Music]]: A ''lot'' of his songs are about violence and revenge.
* HarshVocals: Has a deep, rough-edged singing voice in the manner of Music/TomWaits.
* LeftForDead: "Left Me For Dead"
* NotGoodWithRejection: The narrator of the song "Furious Angels" calls upon supernatural beings to take revenge on the one who spurned him.
* RecycledTrailerMusic: And how! Who needs to release singles or play live to promote an album, when producers and editors love the music so much they plaster it over everything?
* StalkerWithACrush: "There's Only Me"
* StandardSnippet: "Clubbed To Death" was used so much as tension music on TV, it became a cliche. "Furious Angels" was not far behind, being called upon whenever someone wanted a track with the feel of "Clubbed To Death" without actually being "Clubbed To Death".
* SurprisinglyGentleSong: "Drinking Song". It's also the one proper track on the album that *doesn't* get constantly recycled as background music.
* TakingYouWithMe: "Left Me For Dead"
