After introducing himself to Stark, he provides the kicker.

And with that, the MCU had firmly established the very first BigBad of the entire franchise, and the final obstacle its characters will have to overcome in order to get to the happy ending of the final major installment of what would eventually go on to be called "''The Infinity Saga''." 10	** The Mandarin is a fake, being [[MouthOfSauron an actor reading terrorist spiel]] as a cover-up for the villainous plot. The short ''Film/AllHailTheKing'' shows that actor in prison, while revealing there was a real Mandarin, who was displeased at being impersonated and sent someone to bring him from jail. It's particularly prevalent in ''Film/ShangChiAndTheLegendOfTheTenRings'', which revealed that Mandarin (who doesn't go by this name) and recalled the events of when someone passed for him.
11	* ''Film/CaptainAmericaTheWinterSoldier'':
12	** Evidently the marketers in charge of promoting the movie didn't even try to keep the titular Soldier's identity (ComicBook/BuckyBarnes) a secret, bringing up his real name in promotional material on [=DVDs=] and in a documentary about the [[Franchise/MarvelCinematicUniverse MCU]]. Yes, for comics fans it was an eight year old spoiler already, but because of this mindset hardly anyone walking into theatres was shocked to find out who he was. Same goes for DVD viewers, which featured a screenshot of his uncovered face on the DVD case.
13	** Although the movie's ''writers'' did seem to be aware of this, and exploited the fact that everyone could see this particular twist coming a mile off to distract from the real spoiler: SHIELD has been a puppet agency controlled by HYDRA from its very inception.
14	** Although ''even this'' twist had a form of leak prior to the film's release, given that the synopsis for ''Film/AvengersAgeOfUltron'' had already been released, which blatantly said that The Avengers start out the movie battling HYDRA. This didn't spoil HYDRA's ties to SHIELD, but it did spoil the fact that HYDRA has resurfaced in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
15	** The ''Series/AgentsOfSHIELD'' [[Recap/AgentsOfSHIELDS1E17TurnTurnTurn episode that aired a few days]] after the movie's premiere also served spoilers for those who hadn't seen the movie yet, as it unfurls the HYDRA reveal, and even has some dialogue regarding Captain America taking down a Helicarrier.

There are a few shots from it but the bulk of the scenes in the promotional materials came from the set up first act and FinalBattle third act.
