9* Most of the time, the power of flight is associated with the element of wind, yet in ''Maho Girls'', the Cures gain voluntary flight without the need for a broomstick in their Sapphire Form, primarily based around [[MakingASplash water]]. Puzzling, until one recalls that in the Magic World, mermaids were once able to swim in the air as well as in the sea thanks to the Sapphire stone, which stopped working for unknown reasons. Because the Cures possess that stone, they have access to its abilities, including being able to move around in the air. It would most likely make better sense to say that the Cures were "swimming in the air" rather than flying.
10** The Cures are also granted better mobility in general, almost akin to how certain aquatic animals can move around at high speeds to dodge predators in the ocean.
11* The Cures defeat [[spoiler: Sparda]] in Episode 16 using the Sapphire Form finisher. Or, as a certain nursery rhyme puts it, [[spoiler: "down came the rain and washed the spider out."]]
12* Benigyo's name comes from the word for carnelian (紅玉髄 ''benigyokuzui''). Good idea because she wears an oriental-flavored outfit and the carnelian was common in the Indus and Mesopotamian civilizations.
