-> ''"From the savage seas, [[OutsideContextProblem three terrible beasts]], [[BreakTheBadass whose cries will paralyze even the stalwart warrior]], will herald the coming of the [[TitleDrop Kings of Revolution]] as [[EndOfAnAge our age nears its end]]. [[FallenHero Born from betrayal and loss will arise the Dragon King,]] who shall usher in the destruction of law and blanket all seas in darkness. However, [[Anime/CodeGeass from a far-away land no longer free,]] the Demon King, born of loss and sorrow, shall lead us towards an age of peace shall as he rises up with [[LaResistance his Knights]]. [[HeroAntagonist The Iron Maiden]], the [[VillainProtagonist Fallen Jester]] and [[HeroAntagonist the White Devil]] shall guide one of the kings to decide our fate. Yet be warned, [[WhereItAllBegan upon the return to the roots of Gaea]], [[ThereCanOnlyBeOne one king must fall]]. With his fall a new age shall begin. 3That's TheProphecy given in a now blended world between the war-torn world of ''Anime/CodeGeass'' and the anti-war world of ''Franchise/MagicalGirlLyricalNanoha''.

Welcome to ''Kings of Revolution'', where Japan has been taken over by the Britannian Empire just as the Aces left Earth behind in service of the Time-Space Administration Bureau. That includes Lelouch and Nunally, the exiled prince and princess sent to Japan as political hostages. Seven years later, Lelouch is attending Ashford Academy, just leaving another game of chess. He encounters a crashed truck driven by, Eleven terrorists, that contains a green-haired girl named C.C. Things have gone even more awry when he runs into the Britannian Army and sees his own friend get shot by the Royal Guards.

[[MuggingTheMonster However, things go differently from here.]]

Before the R1 canon, Lelouch encounters a number of individuals who also seek to destroy Britannia. They are composed of [[Anime/MagicalGirlLyricalNanohaAs Gil Graham]], [[ManipulativeBitch Quattro]], and [[OriginalCharacter a scientist who goes by the name "Peter"]]. Informed of the existence of magic, the TSAB, and the Dimensional Sea, Lelouch is offered a position in the war against Britannia. And his special gift? His personal Device that identifies itself as "Abyss Soul".

Although Lelouch's hopes to overthrow his tyrannical father have increased, so have the challenges. Due to the AlienNonInterferenceClause, Lelouch gets into serious trouble with the Bureau. Worse yet, an international terrorist organization called LOGOS declares a holy war against the Bureau through the guidance of its masked leader known as "The Mandarin." And with all of his resources and weapons being traced back to Earth, a team composed of the Aces and the Wolkenritter are sent to investigate.

With his old friends back in the picture, will Lelouch have what it takes to overcome his new obstacles and succeed in creating a happier place?

!!Tropes befriended/Geassed:

* AdaptationalHeroism:
** ''[[ManipulativeBitch Quattro]]'' of all people.
** The Huckebein have also crossed more into this territory. Aside from other Eclipse Drivers, it turns out [[spoiler:those who attacked Thoma's hometown on Vaizen were not the real Curren and Veyron]], and they have been busy killing clones who were sent on indiscriminate killings under their name. Furthermore, they loathe the Vandein Corporation and LOGOS, who they suspect to be collaborating with them.
* AlienNonInterferenceClause: Deconstructed. The Aces are forced to follow this policy, which means watching thousands of their fellow countrymen getting killed by their Britannian oppressors. They can't even bring any of them to TSAB worlds thanks to the Mandarin. It gets worse with their own friends fighting them.
* ArchEnemy:
** Zero to Ginga after her first loss.
** [[spoiler:Jail]] to the Mandarin.
* ArrestedForHeroism: Every time Lelouch goes out to save the Japanese as Zero, the Bureau is out to arrest him for it.
* ArmsDealer: [[spoiler:On Earth, the Mandarin is recognized as an international weapons dealer.]]
* AscendedExtra: Colonel Kusakabe of the Japan Liberation Front. The same one who ordered the hotel hijacking from Lake Kawaguchi. Now, he's a major member of LOGOS with his own Earth-made Battle Device.
* BerserkButton: Vita really flips out when [[spoiler:the Mandarin's Wyvern drones kill all of Nanoha's students]].
* BloodKnight: Gray, who was excommunicated from the Sankt Church as a result.
* BlueAndOrangeMorality: Quattro herself admits she has no sense of morality. [[PragmaticVillainy That doesn't mean she's not willing to take the moral high ground if it allows her to survive.]]
* BreakTheBadass: The Aces and Wolkenritter sure have their bad days upon fighting LOGOS, but Nanoha suffers the worst of it, [[spoiler:seeing everyone she knows either getting slaughtered by LOGOS or becoming terrorists.]]
* BuriedAlive: [[spoiler:Zafira, thanks to stopping the landslide at Narita.]]
* ChainsawGood: Gray's device has a chainsaw blade.
* CombatPragmatist: Kusakabe uses this. In his fight against Signum, he boasts that he won because she brought a "tool" to a swordfight.
* CoolVersusAwesome: [[MagicalGirlWarrior Magical Girl Police]] versus HumongousMecha!
** Also, [[DiabolicalMastermind a child mastermind]] vs ''three'' [[PersonOfMassDestruction child nukes.]] [[spoiler:Oh, and in the first round, the mastermind wins.]]
* CovertGroupWithMundaneFront: [[spoiler:The purpose of LOGOS and it's privately owned corporation in Britannia.]]
* CreateYourOwnVillain: The TSAB was responsible for the Mandarin's creation.
** [[spoiler:Not that it helps as they already created [[Anime/MagicalGirlLyricalNanohaStrikers Jail Scaglietti]]]].
* CultureClash: The idea of warfare and debate for the AlienNonInterferenceClause greatly contrasts between the two series.
* CurbStompBattle: The Battle of Narita starts off like this in the Britannians' favor. [[spoiler:Then the landslide comes in, turning the tables to devastating effect.]]
** In a concurrent battle, the Wyvern Drones mowing down an entire Britannian force, leaving no survivors. [[spoiler:Or so they thought.]]
** Another one in Chapter 30, [[spoiler:with Veyron and Kyrie wiping the floor of the Aces, Chrono, and two of the Wolkenritter.]]
* DarkAndTroubledPast: [[spoiler:Simon Testarossa, the GreaterScopeVillain of the fanfic. Once a child prodigy like the rest of the family, he had dealings with the BigBad of ''Anime/MagicalGirlLyricalNanohaStrikers'' and fell in love with Quint Nakajima. Qunit's miscarriage, her following death in action, Scaglietti's betrayal, and the Bureau's confiscation of his work fueled his hatred for the TSAB and the formation of LOGOS.]]
* DavidVersusGoliath: Exaggerated with a RagtagBandOfMisfits going against TheEmpire, a NebulousEvilOrganization, and a SpaceNavy.
** [[spoiler:Lelouch versus Nanoha]]
* DeathByAdaptation: [[spoiler:Viletta, killed during a surprise attack from LOGOS.]]
* DeconstructionCrossover: For the ideals and world of Nanoha. Instead of a world where EverybodyLives and EarnYourHappyEnding, AnyoneCanDie with the usual BittersweetEnding found in a typical ''Anime/MobileSuitGundam'' franchise.
** Inverted for the ''Code Geass'' world. Things have gotten far better thanks to what they took away.
* DespairEventHorizon: [[spoiler:Simon's past tragedies involving Quint Nakajima, Jail's betrayal, and meddling from the Bureau drove him to create the Mandarin and LOGOS.]]
* DidntSeeThatComing: [[spoiler:No one foresees another party getting involved in the ongoing war. Simon knew about the Huckebein and Zilkhstan, and he was seemingly aware of Kyrie thanks to her sister. However, he never expected the former two would support the latter, making a faction dangerous enough to throw a SpannerInTheWorks.]]
* DidYouJustFlipOffCthulhu: Kusakabe taunts the [[TheDreaded Blazing General]] by insulting her mistress and Nanoha, then proceeds to fight dirty to knock her down.
* DownerBeginning: For Nanoha. Her students get slaughtered by the Mandarin's weapons. Signum gets beaten by one of his commanders through underhanded tactics. The LOGOS force gets away and their leader broadcasts his TheReasonYouSuckSpeech to the TSAB.
* TheDreaded:
** LOGOS earned this status at the beginning of the fic.
*** Aside canon ones like the Aces, Gray is labeled as one.
*** Wyverns give chills to a TSAB Mage [[spoiler:or a Britannian soldier]].
** Zero also earned this status upon [[spoiler:bringing down Nanoha Takamachi]].
*** Standard TSAB Mages are ''terrified'' of the Black Knights as a whole because of his achievements.
* DroppedABridgeOnHim: [[spoiler:Viletta, who gets cut down by LOGOS' MechaMooks.]]
* EarlyBirdCameo: Ginga [[spoiler:(and Subaru and Teana later on)]] gets introduced earlier than the original Nanoha timeline.
* ElCidPloy: With the death of [[spoiler:General Katase]], the Black Knight attempt to bait the Britannians into a trap. [[spoiler:Unfortunately, the TSAB falls into the same trap. It ends disastrously.]]
** [[spoiler:Colonel Tohdoh]] was well against this, placing HonorBeforeReason.
* TheEmpire: Britannia, naturally.
* EndOfAnEra: As TheProphecy states.
* ETGaveUsWifi: According to Verossa's investigations, [[spoiler:as well as Peter and Graham, the Mandarin and his allies are responsible for Britannia's rise to power, including the development of Knightmare Frames.]]
* {{Expy}}: [[OriginalCharacter Gray Biaggi]], the Heretic Knight of the Saint Church is [[Anime/MobileSuitGundam00 Ali Al-Saachez]].
* FaceHeelTurn: [[spoiler:Suzuka]]
* FakingTheDead: All major founders of the Black Knights underwent this in the eyes of their superiors.
** Lelouch and Nunnally were reported dead to the Empire.
** Graham and the twins reported themselves KIA to the TSAB.
** Quattro [[spoiler:was rescued by Peter from an assassination attempt, who left a clean copy of her corpse.]]
* FalseFlagOperation: In his introduction, the Mandarin demonstrates his weapons as he destroys a facility owned by the [[Manga/MagicalRecordLyricalNanohaForce Vandein Corporation]] he claims is part of the corruption within the TSAB. [[spoiler:Those responsible were collaborators of the Mandarin, allowing him to initiate the war and rid of enemy agents within his followers.]]
* FateWorseThanDeath: Invoked by Clovis when [[spoiler:his experiments go public and]] Euphemia goes missing for a day.
* FeatheredFiend: The Wyvern Drones look and [[RidiculouslyHumanRobot ''behave'']] like huge birds.
* FirstEpisodeTwist: More of a "second chapter spoiler", but you know the rails are gonna tear off upon [[spoiler:Quattro stealing the Lancelot.]]
* {{Foil}}: Not by people (well, ''maybe''), but by devices. Raising Heart is a GlassCannon who concentrates on [[MemeticMutation maximum power]], Abyss Soul is fit for a FragileSpeedster that uses illusions and precision.
* FoundFootageFilms: Parodied by Sein in Chapter 30 [[spoiler:upon investigating the Code R facility and uncovering Amitie Florian]].
* GoneHorriblyWrong: [[spoiler:The battle at Port Yokosuka. For ''everyone''.]]
* GrandTheftPrototype: [[spoiler:Stealing the Lancelot is quite the achievement.]]
* GreaterScopeVillain: [[spoiler:Simon Testarossa, an OriginalCharacter who acts as Fate and Alicia's secret brother. His family devastation and mistreatment from the Bureau are what lead to his crusade.]]
* GutFeeling:
** Fate has a strong belief that Lelouch is Zero despite having no evidence to back it up.
** [[spoiler:Shamna]] also suspects something about the true nature of [[spoiler:Iris and the Eternal Crystal]].
* HeKnowsTooMuch: During a TSAB operation that discovers a survivor scientist, he tries to tell information regarding covert operations on Earth. He's killed before doing so.
** HisNameIs: [[spoiler:Despite not specifying, he mentions about the Mandarin and the Britannian Royal Family cooperating with each other.]]
* HonorBeforeReason: [[spoiler:Tohdoh and the JLF remnants under his command choose to honor General Katase by not taking part in the Black Knights' ElCidPloy.]]
* HumiliationConga: Clovis undergoes this by losing an entire Britannian force, [[spoiler: having the Lancelot stolen under him and his experiments going public, destroying his Viceroy career.]] [[LampshadeHanging Cornelia even wonders if he'll avoid being disinherited.]]
* {{Irony}}: For a girl who known for [[DefeatMeansFriendship "befriending" people]], [[spoiler:she ends up getting a taste of her own medicine.]]
* KnightOfCerebus:
** The Mandarin's organization, LOGOS introduces itself like this. Armed with powerful weapons that could take on the Bureau, they inflict significant casualties that include [[WouldHurtAChild Nanoha's students]], then calls them out for their corruption while inciting riots throughout the Dimensional Sea.
** In the later chapters, [[spoiler:Kyrie, Iris, and the Huckebein Family. Upon their arrival, they [[CurbStompBattle viciously tear apart the three Aces]] and make away with the Book of Darkness. Even the Mandarin is surprised that such a powerful faction ever existed, waiting to jump into all of the chaos.]]
* LaResistance: The Black Knights.
** LOGOS tries to label themselves as such.
* LighterAndSofter: The fanfic gives medicine to the scarred Geass-verse from the Nanohaverse.
** DarkerAndEdgier: It's poison the other way around.
* MageKiller: The Wyvern Drones are stated to be this purpose.
* MegaCorp: The Donovan Technology Conglomerate within Britannia is described as one. [[spoiler:It's property of LOGOS.]]
* MeleeATrois: On the macro scale, you have LOGOS vs TSAB vs the Black Knights.
** You also have Britannia vs the Black Knights vs LOGOS under the guise of the JLF.
** [[spoiler:Then, Kyrie gets involved with the help of the [[Manga/MagicalRecordLyricalNanohaForce Huckebein]] and [[Anime/CodeGeassLelouchOfTheRessurrection Kingdom of Zilkhstan]].]]
* MemoryWipingCrew: Charles uses his Geass to wipe the memories of those exposed to LOGOS and the TSAB's activities, [[spoiler:just like what he did to Euphemia, Guilford, and Darlton.]]
* TheMole: [[spoiler:Due; This isn't the only time she played the above trope.]]
* MoodWhiplash: [[spoiler:Suzuka]] ''loses it'' upon fighting TSAB agents.
** On a larger scale, the ''Nanoha'' world has taken a hit from this.
* MythologyGag:
** Dr. Jail comments on how the [[spoiler:Iris Units]] play the same role as his [[MechaMooks Gadget Drones]].
* NothingIsTheSameAnymore: Quattro lampshades this for both series, for better or worse.
** Even more so by Chapter 30. [[spoiler:A new player is involved, composed of Kyrie, Iris, Zilkhstan, and the Huckebein as a unified group. Their entrance reveals General Darlton and the Glaston Knights the existence of magic, and Amitie is rescued by the Camelot Research team.]]
* OffTheRails: The first half of R1 is played with a couple of minor changes including [[spoiler:Clovis's miserable survival]]. That divergence splits further when [[spoiler:Cornelia gets captured by the Black Knights.]]
** [[spoiler:It goes further off the rails when Kyrie and Iris show up with the assistance of the Huckebein Family and Zilkhstan. Prince Clovis is captured, and the A.S.S.E.C. unit and Glaston Knights are exposed to the existence of magic and the TSAB.]]
* OOCIsSeriousBusiness: If Lloyd reacting to [[spoiler:Nina with a sakuradite bomb]] wasn't bad enough, wait until [[spoiler:you steal the Lancelot.]]
* OutsideContextProblem: No one in the TSAB expected to face someone like LOGOS ''or'' Zero and his Black Knights.
** [[spoiler:Then, a new faction composed of Kyrie, Iris, the Huckebein, and the Kingdom of Zilkhstan take ''everyone'' by surprise. And even LOGOS still doesn't understand what's going on.]]
* PowerGivesYouWings: Lelouch's "Seraph Wings".
* PragmaticVillainy: If Verossa's investigations are correct, [[spoiler:which they are]], one can reverse engineer interdimensional technology to start a huge company on an undeveloped planet. As long as they hide behind the non-interference policy of the Bureau, one can automatically accumulate manpower and resources to wage war against bigger powers.
** As amoral as Quattro could be, she goes through this with Lelouch, seeking the moral high ground to have people aid her in her plans.
*** Quattro also doesn't kill Nanoha or her friends because it'll break Lelouch's trust, which she cannot afford.
** Instead of executing Dietard for publishing a newspaper referring to [[spoiler:Cornelia's capture]], Schneizel has him released for damage control and to discredit the reporter.
* PreAssKickingOneLiner:
** Delivered by [[spoiler:Veyron]] in Chapter 30.
--> "Let negotiations break down so that I can tear into the lot of you!"
* PutOnABus: Clovis gets sent back to the homeland after his failures. [[spoiler:[[TheBusCameBack At least until Chapter 29.]]]]
* RebelliousRebel: The Black Knights follow the more moral route of LaResistance by showing that traditional terrorism is powerless. [[spoiler:They're also facing members of the JLF, another resistance group in league with LOGOS.]]
* RidiculouslyHumanRobot: Wyverns are more of ridiculously animalistic robots. Justified as they are composed of carbon nanotubes that give them extreme agility and lifelike movements.
* ScrewTheRulesImDoingWhatsRight: Why Peter and Graham helped Lelouch create the Black Knights and fight TSAB opposition, even if it means challenging [[TheDreaded The Aces and Wolkenritter]]. The former stating the Bureau was responsible for creating the BigBad.
* SecretKeeper: [[spoiler:Schneizel]] has been aware of all strange phenomenon that has happened ever since Zero's appearance, and those under his command work independently from the Emperor to keep the existence of magic and the TSAB from going public.
* ShoutOut:
** Various new weapons introduced to Nanoha have these.
*** The [[Film/IronMan Sonic Taser]] used by the Black Knights.
*** The KillSat weapons used by LOGOS are akin to [[Film/GIJoeRetaliation Project Zeus]].
*** The introduced {{Mooks}} of LOGOS are skull-masked, katana-wielding cyborgs called [[VideoGame/{{Tekken}} "Yoshimitsu Troopers"]].
** [[VideoGame/MetalGearRisingRevengeance "You deny your weapon its purpose!"]]
** Ever since [[spoiler:Cornelia's capture]], rioters and resistance movements take up the Black Knights' name and start vandalizing. [[Film/TheDarkKnight Lelouch comments over how it wasn't his idea for inspiring people]].
** The final words from [[spoiler:the fake image of General Katase]] are eerily familiar to [[Film/{{Inception}} another Japanese criminal/terrorist leader]].
** C.C.'s Armed Device and spells are based on attacks and elements from ''Anime/AuraBattlerDunbine''.
* SlidingScaleOfIdealismVersusCynicism: A theme in the fanfic is to show when the cynical world of Geass and the idealist view of Nanoha interact.
** In the Geass world, you now have a DiabolicalMastermind with a power far more gentle than Geass. He has allies he can count on and knows some of the truth early, [[spoiler:including about the death of his mother]], that makes him far more stable. And speaking of truth, he's forced to become more honest with himself as Zero. Even when they're already being overwhelmed by the very scope of the threat the Black Knights face, it's much better in the long run than keeping secrets like in canon.
** In Nanoha, on the other hand, you now have people getting slaughtered, heavy corruption within the Bureau, and not being able to help your friends due to the AlienNonInterferenceClause. Oh, and that includes said friends being your enemies, whether you're [[ArrestedForHeroism trying to arrest them for saving countless lives]] or [[spoiler:them trying to kill you for leaving them in the first place.]]
* SoleSurvivor: Jeremiah is last of the Purist Faction. [[spoiler:Not even Villeta makes it.]]
* SparedByAdaptation: [[spoiler:Clovis, who instead has his experiments exposed to the public, making him HatedByAll.]] He's sent back to the Homeland and replaced by Cornelia.
* TemptingFate:
--> '''Clovis:''' If word about her [C.C.] gets out, I'll be disinherited.
-->([[spoiler:after Shinjuku disaster and expose]])
--> '''Cornelia:''' [[HumiliationConga He'll be lucky to avoid being disinherited.]]
* TheLopsidedArmOfTheLaw: The TSAB are portrayed like this as civilians get slaughtered on an unadministered world, but they're willing to arrest a masked vigilante because he's using magic to stop it. Granted, the affairs of unadministered worlds are outside of the Bureau's jurisdiction while terrorist Mages are not, but it still proves them to be far more obstructive than helpful.
* ThereIsNoKillLikeOverkill: Lelouch uses this ''Nanoha''-based trope to own accord, [[spoiler:including dealing it to the founder.]]
* TheRevolutionWillNotBeCivilized: Following news headlines of the Black Knights' victory at Narita ([[spoiler:and implication of Cornelia's capture]]), insurgent groups rise up publicly, performing lynchings and massacres of both Honorary and ordinary Britannians.
* ThingsManWasNotMeantToKnow: How the people who know magic and the TSAB see those who don't. The Black Knights are a little easier [[GodzillaThreshold due to being forced under circumstances to earn the trust of the Earth natives.]] However, by the time of Chapter 30, so many members in the Britannian military have become aware of magic and the TSAB, namely [[spoiler:Jeremiah, Darlton, the Glaston Knights, and the Camelot unit.]]
** It turns out that [[spoiler:Schneizel has been aware of these activities for quite some time as been working with the units under his command to keep it all a secret.]]
* TookALevelInKindness: Quattro, changing from a cruel, amoral woman into someone more willing to help out, even a crippled girl like Nunally.
* TrappedTheWrongTarget: [[spoiler:The tanker trap at Yokosuka doesn’t get Gray, it kills the TSAB team instead.]]
* VillainRespect: Jail Scaglietti gives his own respects to Zero, even after [[spoiler:inadvertently getting close to killing one of his subordinates.]]
* VillainHasAPoint: While secretly working with [[spoiler:Simon]], [[spoiler:Alexis]] walks into the middle of a TSAB conference with a hologram spell. She outright tells them that despite being less of a threat, third-party groups have been growing in power at an alarming rate to the point of becoming new major players while the TSAB are fruitlessly chasing LOGOS. Once they learn of [[spoiler:the Huckebein severely wounding the three Aces and stealing the Tome of the Night Sky from them]], they take her words seriously and go into LoweredRecruitingStandards to bolster their ranks.
* VillainTeamUp:
** [[spoiler:[[Anime/MagicalGirlLyricalNanohaReflection Kyrie and Iris]] recruit the [[Manga/MagicalRecordLyricalNanohaForce Huckebein Family]] and the [[Anime/CodeGeassLelouchOfTheResurrection Kingdom of Zilkhstan]] into their personal forces.]]
* WouldHitAGirl[=/=]WouldHurtAChild: In the first arrival of LOGOS, one of the Mandarin's weapons mows down every one of Nanoha's cadets proceeds to attack Nanoha as well. Justified as they are officers/soldiers of the TSAB, which is the Mandarin's enemy.
* WrongGenreSavvy: The TSAB forces are completely unaware of [[DeconstructionCrossover the world they just crossed over with]].
* YourTerroristsAreOurFreedomFighters: A recurring theme of the factic. Not just for being a ''Code Geass'' crossover, but it involves fighting a SpaceNavy, whose job is to fight terrorism.
** The Mandarin even states this when he first reveals himself to the TSAB.
--> "[[Film/IronMan3 Some people call me a terrorist. I consider myself a teacher.]]"
