The ''[[http://buckyohare.org Bucky O'Hare Web Series]]'' is a [[PseudocanonicalFic fanmade continuation]] of ''ComicBook/BuckyOHareAndTheToadWars''. Begun in 1998, it lasted for five "seasons" consisting of episodes in [[ScriptFic screenplay format]] which told the continuing adventures of the heroic Captain Bucky O'Hare and his intrepid crew as they battled against the evil forces of Komplex.

It is was somewhat unusual for a fan fiction in that it had multiple authors all working in concert to create a continuing, consistent story, as opposed to being wholly the project of one writer.

!!This fan fic provides examples of:

* AbusiveParents: Amarus, the Toad Air Marshal, had an emotionally and verbally abusive father... who murdered Amarus' little sister when she was a tadpole after being fired from his job due to being partially blinded in an industrial accident.
* AdaptationNameChange: Due to the series having been begun before the show's DVD release provided the original episode scripts, many characters have different names or have their names spelled differently. For example, the hare named Larry from "Home, Swampy, Home" is named "Harry" here, while U.A.F. councilman Grebb from "Corsair Canards" is called "Griff."
* AnyoneCanDie: Often, the original show's recurring characters are killed off to show just how dangerous a situation is, such as when [[spoiler:Dogstar]] gets assassinated by a toad spy after becoming chairman. [[spoiler:And Bruiser himself gets killed in the fifth season episode "Overrun", the second last episode of the series.]]
* BigBad: Komplex, as usual.
* BigGuyFatalitySyndrome: [[spoiler:Bruiser is the only member of the ''Righteous Indignation'' to be killed off.]]
* BrainwashedAndCrazy: One story arc had [[spoiler:Willy [=DuWitt=]]] brainwashed to faithfully serve the toads.
* BrotherSisterTeam: [[spoiler: Jenny and Tommy. It's TeethClenchedTeamwork at first, though.]]
* ChurchMilitant: The Aldeberan ''Thought Order''.
* DarkerAndEdgier: The Web Series as a whole was more violent than the TV series.
* EvenBadMenLoveTheirMamas: Al Negator, who in canon is simply a sleazy but high priced mercenary, here engages in his work as a means to support his extended family, particularly his hero worshipping nephew Dile O'Croc. Sadly, when the heroic Dile discovers his uncle's activities, and how often he works for the Toad Empire, Al finds himself cut off from his relatives, with them even throwing his financial assistance back at him rather than accept blood money. This actually has a hand in Al starting to consider the moral alignment of the people who hire him.
* {{Expy}}: Fritz Warner and Kaddafi "Kadaf" Warner ([[WesternAnimation/TinyToonAdventures no relation]]) are blatant expies of WesternAnimation/BugsBunny and WesternAnimation/DaffyDuck.
* TheDeterminator: Willy is put through an absolute ''crucible'' throughout the Web Series run, but still manages to come out on top by the end.
* ExplosiveDecompression: What'd we say about DarkerAndEdgier? We weren't kidding, were we? Happens to a toad pilot when Dallion punctures his cockpit bubble in "Ronin Steel." Splat!
* FromNobodyToNightmare: Rare good guy example. Bucky was originally TheUnfavorite of his family, a runty, stoner artist who's biggest dream was to study at Warren's Art Institute, in direct contrast to his more military minded father and brothers. During their initial push to conquer the Aniverse, the Toads specifically allowed him to survive the massacre of his family so he could spread word of their invincibility. They'd actually gotten a psyche profile on him that concluded without a doubt Bucky lacked the will or fortitude to come back as a problem. This bit them in the tails spectacularly.
* FurryReminder: Toads are born as limbless tadpoles, which are kept in water until they physically grow limbs as part of their maturation process.
* LadyLand: [[AscendedFridgeHorror Aldeberan society]] is an incredibly ''horrific'' example. [[spoiler: And it's gradually revealed to be AllAccordingToPlan.]]
* LikeBrotherAndSister: Willy and Jenny were [[FixFic rewritten as this]] in order to [[{{Shipping}} ship]] [[FanPreferredCouple Bucky and Jenny]]. [[note]](In the canon, Jenny is TheTease to Willy, and was [[SingleWomanSeeksGoodMan explicitly romantically attracted to him for his good nature]])[[/note]] [[spoiler: She treats Willy hell of a lot better than her biological twin brother, Tommy.]]
* MadScientist: Several, Cravis and Professor Glutgrave in particular. Dr. Polidori may count but he's more or a WellIntentionedExtremist.
* MagicPlasticSurgery: The "species reassignment therapy" process, which involves turning toad spies into mammals. [[spoiler:Renfield and the [[SurgicalImpersonation fake Bucky O'Hare]] who kills Dogstar were created this way.]]
* TheMole: Thanks to RuleOfDrama, the overall narrative [[ExaggeratedTrope thrives]] on this trope. [[spoiler:Chairman Pigton]] (a.k.a. the [[spoiler:Secretary General]] from the [[ComicBook/BuckyOHareAndTheToadWars series]]), his associate [[spoiler:Barton]], [[spoiler: Renfield]], [[spoiler:Councilman O'Neil]] [[spoiler:and his niece Shira]], and a host of others have all gradually been revealed as spies for the toads.
** This cuts both ways, with a handful of good guys spying on the toads, and even a few "[[TheMole reverse moles]]" (such as [[spoiler: Renfield]] after he's outed as a spy by the mammals).
* RebelPrince: [[spoiler: Tommy is revealed to be Aldeberan Queen Katrina's secret son...and Jenny's ''twin brother.'']]
* NamedByTheAdaptation: The Air Marshal is given the name "Amarus", when [[EveryoneCallsHimBarkeep Air Marshal is just what he was called]] in the original series.
* WholePlotReference: "The Polidori Experiment" was essentially ''Film/IslandOfTerror'' RecycledInSpace.
