It's not until Chihiro transfers into the class that it seems anyone's even establishing proper communication with Yugami.

His given name Yuuji is made up of the kanji 裕 (yuu) and 二 (ji), where "yuu" means "richness" or "abundance" and "ji" means "two." This is a direct reference to the fact that he has a very similar personality to his grandfather Yuuichi (裕一), where ichi is written with the character for "one."
