->Official Name: Union of Soviet Socialist Republics
->Ruling Party: Vsesoyuznaya Kommunisticheskaya Partiya (Bolshevikov)All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks)
->Ideology: BolshevismCommunism
The USSR awakened like a phoenix after its reestablishment and victory in the Second West Russian War. Unfortunately, the USSR would later be plagued with numerous issues, with subpar living conditions and a poorly trained army, only time will tell if the USSR can finally assert itself in the world stage once more as the forefront of the Revolution, or if the Union breaks apart like in old times...

* TheAlliance: The USSR is the leader of the Communist International, grouping all communist states loyal to the USSR under one organization.
* AllohistoricalAllusion: The USSR mirrors OTL China: Both are communist dictatorships with extensive capitalist market systems and a large industrial workforce.
* BreadAndCircuses: Soviet leaders since Yagoda have made sure to leverage the wealth brought about by past reforms to increase living standards, while constantly reminding their citizenry that, without a strong state to keep them in check, Russia would fall to anarchy once again.
* CultOfPersonality: Yagoda's cult of personality has survived even decades after his passing. The official state narrative describes him as a hero who brought Russia out of the darkness, and even questioning Yagoda's greatness can make one disappear.
* EliteArmy: Subverted. The Red Army is no longer the same Army that defeated the Germans in the Second West Russian War. Instead, it lacks funding, has poor training and equipment, and is woefully unprepared for any kind of war against another country.
* ForeignCultureFetish: Thanks to the USSR having relatively warm relations with the United States, Russian culture has come to be admired by some in the West. With the age of the internet coming about, some of the more obsessive Western admirers have become pejoratively known as "Wannabe Soviets" (Wooties or Woviets), alluding to real-life weeaboos.
* IndustrializedEvil: The Urals and Central Siberia are heavily industrialized, with most of the population toiling away in factories and living in gray, polluted cities with significantly worse living conditions in comparison to other parts of Russia.
* InterserviceRivalry: The NKVD is constantly at odds with the Red Army. The Army views them as thugs who constantly steal their funding, while the NKVD is distrustful of the military and seeks to undermine them at every turn.
* PoliceState: The Soviet government uses the NKVD to monitor its citizens, keeping tabs on potential dissidents and brutally quashing any threats before they even have the chance to arise. Virtually no one is safe from the NKVD's wrath - even those in power.
* StateSec: While the NKVD doesn't control Russia the same way it used to, it accumulated so much power during Yagoda's rule that it practically became a body of its own, with separate military units and extensive departments tasked with monitoring all aspects of life in the USSR. The NKVD has not only the power but also the means to make sure that the Yagodaschina is not threatened.

!!General Secretary

->Role: General SecretaryHead of State
->Party: Vsesoyuznaya Kommunisticheskaya Partiya (Bolshevikov)All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks)
->Ideology: BolshevismCommunism
The General Secretary of the Soviet Union, Lukyanov has been in power since 1999, making him one of the longest-serving leaders since Yagoda. However, as of 2012, Lukyanov's deteriorating health and the stagnation brought about by his failure to deal with the Great Recession have left his days in office numbered.
----
* AllohistoricalAllusion: Lukyanov resembles Deng Xiaoping regarding governing style, promoting economic liberalization while simultaneously being a hardline authoritarian with no plans to reform the political system.
* TheCynic: While Lukyanov recognizes the excesses within the Soviet system, he believes change would only make matters worse. In his perspective, Russia is a nation surrounded by enemies, and it requires strong leadership to survive.
* LetNoCrisisGoToWaste: When the Soviet economy was hit during the Great Recession, Lukyanov took the opportunity to distance the USSR from the United States, viewing the Americans as a hindrance to Soviet interests rather than a dedicated ally.
* VisionaryVillain: Lukyanov envisions a Russia that can challenge both the United States and Germany for the status of global superpower, hoping that, once Germany is crippled, the Soviet Union will expand and solidify its role as a new contender on the world stage.
* Warhawk: Lukyanov's foreign policy consists of doubling aid for anti-German guerrillas in the Caucasus while taking a more active role in expanding the USSR's sphere of influence in Europe and Asia, leaving the Kremlin at odds with neighboring countries and the United States.
