The main heroic group of ''[[FanFic/InfinityTrainSeekerOfCrocus Seeker of Crocus]]''.

Formed by Augustine Sycamore, Vaillant, and Yuri Ichiro, they aimed to not only find and rescue Alain but to help out several passengers and Denizens along the way such as the Red Lotus trio.

[[folder:In General]]
* BadassCrew: The group kick ass and take names, whether it's stopping a golem stampede or even ending a ''space war''.
* BigThinShortTrio: Augustine is the big, Vaillant the thin, Yuri the short.
* BlueIsHeroic: The main color of the group with both Augustine and Yuri known for wearing blue.
* FighterMageThief:
** Fighter: Augustine, who has sword skills and the more straight-forward attacker and his Persona is also a sword-wielder with Kouha spells.
** Mage: Vaillant as he has illusion powers and more "traditional" magic abilities.
** Thief: Yuri, the smallest of the group who has a Garu-based Persona and the most nimble and quick-thinking.
* FreudianTrio:
** Augustine - Wise, stoic.
** Vaillant - Balanced.
** Yuri - Young, dreamer.
* NonIndicativeName: Despite the name, they're not actually chasing after the wind, but a ten-year-old girl. And even ''after'' they chase after the ten-year-old girl, they're now chasing after any clues about the Cage of Flauros [[spoiler:and uncovering the truth about Elipzo.]]
* PhysicalMysticalTechnological: Augustine is an ActionSurvivor with a Garchomp, Vaillant can cast illusions and Yuri is the tech expert with experience with giant robots.
* PowerTrio: The original three members -- Augustine, Vaillant and Yuri -- form one of these.
* RagtagBunchOfMisfits: A Professor who studies fantastical creatures, a bipedal shark-like humanoid, a lupine PrettyBoy, a mech rider/mecha otaku boy, a plush bunny, and a robotic spider.
* TheThreeFacesOfAdam: Between Yuri, Vaillant and Sycamore: Yuri is The Hunter, eager to explore the worlds beyond his own. Vaillant is The Lord, having experienced life on the Infinity Train and trying to catch up to the other characters. And Sycamore is The Prophet, looking back at his failures with Team Flare and Alain and wishing to impart knowledge on those willing to listen to him.
* TheQuest: Two of them; one of them is to rescue Alain and the other is to catch up with the Red Lotus Trio on ''their'' quest to stop the Apex. The second one becomes altered to dismantle the Cage of Flauros to save the Apex and the passengers stuck in the Fog Car. [[spoiler: And then the Cyan Desert Car fiasco happens during which Sycamore decides to quit both quests due to learning that someone is manipulating the Flauros and the Apex.]]
* WeakBossStrongUnderlings: Not that Sycamore is an utter weakling, especially after his training at the Monster City Car. However, compared to the giant hammerheaded dragon-shark, a MasterOfIllusion who also happens to be a werewolf, and a tech-savvy kid who can pilot giant robots, it's clear he's not the top dog in terms of strength.

[[folder:Sycamore's Shadow ('''Spoilers''')]]
!!Shadow Sycamore / St. Joan / Asher / [=UnSycamore=] / Prince Armand Vrana Alchiba (Formerly Kage)

->'''Appears in:''' Seeker of Crocus (debut, First appearance: The Twisted Lab Car) | Rey Mysterio vs the Cosmos (Mentioned, Goes by Kage in Flashback)

A Shadow that took the form of Professor Sycamore who represents the darker aspects of his personality. Originally, he grew to antagonize the Windchasers due to trauma from his past. But with the help of his original self, he is able to make the first step to heal and atone his sins after he becomes Augustine's Persona based on the legendary Jeanne D'Arc.
----
* AnimalMotifs: Birds, particularly crows to go with his trickster nature. In the Fashion Runway Car, Chloe uses Caim (a birdlike demon) as inspiration for his new attire, and the Mirage Pokémon he grows attached to is Murkrow, who resembles a crow. His nickname is also called "Little Crow" while Marchosias calls him "Crow Rascal". Moreover he's actually a prince from the Royal Aviary Car with his middle and surname relating to crows (see MeaningfulName below). Once this revelation is revealed, he starts growing black bird feathers.
* TheApprentice: The Cyan Desert Car reveals he is this to another denizen on the Train. ''Rey Mysterio vs the Cosmos'' reveals that their name is Auric; a three-headed dragon that can turn into a human and works as a barista. It's later revealed that he was once the former apprentice of Paimon, which is where his mind control skills come from.
* ArcVillain: He's the main antagonist of the Twisted Lab Car, which is actually the Shadow World Car.
* AuthorityEqualsAsskicking: He's the most powerful shadow in the Twisted Lab Car, to the point Teddie calls him "Master", and it shows with how much shit he can tear up; the entirety of the Windchasers have to work together ''just to slow him down'', and once he takes over Sycamore, they can only stay back and try to ask the poor professor to come back to them.
* AwesomeByAnalysis: He can read people's motives through their body language and breathing. This means he knew that Alain's brainwashed during the phone call in the Ninjala Car and that someone manipulated an infamous video of the Apex causing the tragedy of the Noir Princess Car.
* BadPowersBadPeople: Back when he was the main antagonist of The Twisted Lab Car, his hypnosis and general mind control powers heavily accentuated his status as an evil Shadow.
* BadPowersGoodPeople: Has the ability to use hypnosis and mind control, but is ultimately a good Shadow once The Twisted Lab Car arc comes to an end.
* BelievingTheirOwnLies: He legitimately believed that he was doing everybody a favor by brainwashing Sycamore so that they wouldn't suffer the same pain he did. Needless to say, this wasn't quite the case.
* BigNo: Screams this in the Palimpsest Car when Marchosias appears in front of him.
* BrainwashingForTheGreaterGood: He ''assumes'' this is the case with his brainwashing of Sycamore, believing that doing so is the only way to ensure that nobody else feels the same pain that he did back with his original partner.
* CheshireCatGrin: Has one to relate to his trickster personality.
* TheChosenOne: Act 2 starts revealing how he's tied to a bigger prophecy and is "the crow destined to inherit the shadows".
* CompositeCharacter: Surprisingly shares many traits with the Specter expies from the original ''Blossomverse''.
** Lexi: As a character who was abused by their former partners and wants nothing more than to murder them, saved by the protagonist when they forgave them (the main difference is that Lexi getting Chloe hurt was purely an accident as ''she'' was the one trying to save him).
** Easter: The denizen who enacts torture on his victims after being heavily abused -- by Specter for Easter and by a former passenger by Shadow Sycamore -- before realizing their actions are wrong and later fuses with another (London for (Dark) Easter and Sycamore himself for Shadow Sycamore)
** Zeno: A sadistic construct who has a tendency for PassThePopcorn while watching people fall into despair. Like Zeno was visible only to Goh (and Parker), Shadow Sycamore is only visible to Sycamore unless in Persona form. In an interesting turn of events, it's Sycamore who helps him get better. They also had a different initial form and "birth" name. He eventually becomes the Zeno character to Sara during the Cyan Desert Arc.
** Upon the reveal that he's a prince, he's a combation of [[WebVideo/TwitchPlaysPokemonRed Bird Jesus]] and [[WebVideo/TwitchPlaysPokemon Brian]] from ''WebVideo/TwitchPlaysPokemon''. For the former, there are denizens who proclaim "PRAISE BIRD JESUS!" and there is a poster that has Asher around bird-headed denizens with the line "Do unto others EXACTLY as they unto you", which was the creed of Bird Jesus using Mirror Move. For the latter, Asher is asking the denizens to not worship him and proclaims he is ''not'' Bird Jesus, just like Brian (who is named after [[Film/MontyPythonsLifeOfBrian another Brian who was thought to be Christ]]) yet no one listens to him.
* ContrivedCoincidence: What are the chances that Asher turned out to have been the Shadow who once tried to be a Persona for the head of Elipzo, an adopted son of the Goetias (who are the same beings keeping an eye on Chloe) and he's got the same name as a passenger who crossed paths with Buné's general? Clearly ''something'' is amiss...
* CreepyGood: Mostly when his appearance is of Sycamore as he's a darkened version of the Kalos Professor with gold eyes who tends to be ''very'' touchy-feely with his partner and has a penchant for using hypnosis, especially since one trigger allows him to ''puppeteer'' Augustine if need be.
* DarkAndTroubledPast: His previous partner abused him and he lashes out by brainwashing Sycamore in an attempt to "protect" others from feeling his pain.
* DarkIsEvil: He's a LivingShadow in The Twisted Lab Car, a ''very'' powerful one at that, and his whole tenure during said car is to torture Professor Sycamore to his breaking point.
* DarkIsNotEvil: Is Sycamore's Shadow and he later gains an outfit inspired by the ''Ars Goetia'' demon Caim (as seen [[https://archiveofourown.org/works/32849596/chapters/89447815 here]]), but he is shown to be a kind and caring leader for the Shadows (before his abuse and torture) and becomes an ally to the Windchasers once calmed down.
** This is more pronounced in ''Rey Mysterio vs the Shadows'' since Kaito remembers seeing how Asher took on his form of a black bartender outfit when Kaito entered the train as a child.
* {{Deuteragonist}}: For the ''Infinity'' side of the story as Act 2 starts with powerful revelations about him, how he is connected to the head of Elipzo, and whether or not he's related to a passenger that shares his name of Armand.
* ADogNamedDog: When he was on the train, Kaito called him "Kage", which is "Shadow" in Japanese. Until he becomes Asher, he's also primarily known as Sycamore's Shadow, and his main form is that of... Sycamore's Shadow.
* DudeNotFunny: He starts ''laughing'' at the video of the Apex causing the tragedy of the Noir Princess Car (as in, watching the poor princess gets ''burned to death''). Amelia is quick to punch him for that but he quickly explains that he's laughing not because of how it was horrific but because of the shitty editing that went into it.
* EveryoneHasStandards:
** He detests using the HypnoPendulum cliche for his work. Not because he's against it or anything, but because it's just so unoriginal and ''boring''.
** [[{{Hypocrite}} In a hypocritical sense]], for everything he did to Sycamore, he is ''disgusted'' at what Walter and Henry are doing in their attempt to enact the Cage of Flauros.
** He also doesn't like the Apex but states he'd never subject them to the horrors of the Shadows attacking them or them having to face their true selves. He also points out that he is horrified at the tragedy of the Noir Princess Car but he was laughing at the shoddy editing and ''not'' the subject matter.
** He will use hypnosis but not for small things like helping Augustine with his stage fright because it's beneath his skills and Augustine is better off being authentic.
** He goes against Augustine when he wants the Persona to just ''kill Grace and Simon'' where they stand.
* FeatherMotif: Has white angel wings as St. Joan and black "Fallen angel" wings in his Caim outfit. He later gains crow/raven wings and feathers over his body after his past is revealed.
* FingerMuzzle: Does this to Chloe when she's explaining the truth of Alex Shepherd so she doesn't terrify the audience listening in.
* {{Foreshadowing}}: A lot of hints are sprinkled in about his past in the first act.
** The fact that his demon attire is based on the Ars Goetia demon, Caim, a black thrush, is foreshadowing that he's really a bird-like prince. Moreover, he has an affinity for crows...
** He claims his parents were Malphas and Raum, but a few scenes before he said this has Agares reveal that Goetias can't have children. Turns out Raum ''kidnapped him as an egg''.
** His RedBaron is "Prince of Shadows". Turns out he actually ''is'' a Prince.
** When Chloe enters his soul to see his past, he asks how far she went. He later reveals that his former partner was Austen Plane, current head of Elipzo.
* AFormYouAreComfortableWith: As a shadow, he can transform himself into whatever his partner desires, or even change his attire like how he can alter his appearance to match a Goetia inspired outfit Chloe made. However, as ''Rey Mysterio vs the Cosmos'' reveals, that's usually not the case when he took on Kaito's image.
* FreudianExcuseIsNoExcuse: He's lashing out and brainwashed Augustine because of the abuse of his former partner, but that is in ''no way'' a justified reason to do what he did.
-->'''Augustine:''' I know what he [Shadow Sycamore's former partner] did to you was horrible, but there is no reason you have to take it out on me and my friends!
* GenderFlip: Transform into the Persona known as St. Joan but is a male Persona which Yuri lampshades.
* GoneHorriblyWrong: When Augustine starts breaking after his and Chloe's fight in the Cyan Desert Car in regards to Sara's atrocities, Asher summons Specter to calm Chloe down. It works...and Chloe chosing ''Specter's'' bluntness over Augustine's optimisim ''completely crushes him''.
* GoodWingsEvilWings: As St. Joan, he has white angelic wings. As Asher, when he decides to have an outfit based on Caim[[labelnote:Explanation]]A demon from the ''Ars Goetia'' based on a thrush bird[[/labelnote]] he gains black feathery wings. Downplayed on the latter in that he's also on the side of good.
* HappilyAdopted: Someway, somehow, he found himself being adopted by two of the Goetias, as revealed in the Act 2 prelude. It's later revealed in the Palimpsest Car that he was actually ''kidnapped'' by the Goetias from his birth family.
* HeelFaceTurn: Originally an antagonist during The Twisted Lab Car, once Sycamore defeats and conquers him, the shadow becomes a Persona and joins the party.
* HeroOfAnotherStory: He's had numerous adventures interacting with the Goetias and he also knew Kaito -- back when he was called Kage -- long enough to know that Kaito accidentally was tricked into a covenant with Agares. He also gave the Apex a challenge in the Dalgona game.
* HeWhoFightsMonsters: Ibn Battuta states that this is what happened to Shadow Sycamore; he became just as bad as the passenger who abused him.
* HiddenDepths:
** He seems to know about the Ars Goetia demons because he freaks out when he sees Chloe's scabbard has Marchosias's seal. This is probably because the demons exist on the Train as denizens. The Cyan Desert Car later reveals that he's actually on good terms with some Goetias He was a former apprentice to Paimon and he's the current apprentice to Auric, a Goetia going under a fake name, and his adoptive parents were Malpas and Raum.
** He has knowledge of LGBT communities, as he notices Tres' earring and bracelet (which has colors based off the transgender flag) and immediately apologizes for misgendering him.
* HorrifyingTheHorror: He's ''terrified'' of Chloe when he sees her fight in the Ninjala Car cause she can cast fire ''and he's weak to it''. It gets worse after [[KillItWithFire what she did to the Mirage Army.]] In a later car, he states he'd rather face ''Porings'' then interrupt the Demon Lord's ranting.[[labelnote:Explanation]]For reference, she was talking about spelling people's names through the use of the Music/CreatureFreature song "A Gorey Demise".[[/labelnote]] Then he goes on full catatonic when she gets a Goetia artifact that lets her summon any demon she wants. To emphasize how scary she is to him, he ''and Specter'', are literally on the sidelines in the climax of the Cyan Desert Car, watching as Chloe goes into a cat fight with her bully and refuses to help her.
* HypnoPendulum: Is capable of using one such item in order to cast his hypnosis, though he'd really rather not use it at all because he finds it too much of a cliché.
* IHaveManyNames: Shadow Sycamore, Asher, St. Joan, [=UnSycamore=], Kage, Prince Armand...
* ImproperlyParanoid: He tried brainwashing Sycamore because he believed that if he didn't, those around him would feel the same pain that he once did. Needless to say, he was rather wrong.
* ImTakingHerHomeWithMe: Does this to a Mirage Murkrow in the Ninjala Car, calling them "Murky" and giving them cuddles. He becomes ecstatic when Rimuru makes a Mirage Ball for him to capture them.
* InSeriesNickname:
** "Little Crow" which was notably said aloud by Indigo and Asher's Master/the barista/Auric. It turns out that it comes from his "parents", Malphas and Raum.
** "Kage", by Kaito, back when he entered the Train.
** Marchosias calls him "Crow Rascal".
* InsistentTerminology: Even after he's revealed as the son of royalty, he's always called a "Shadow" even though he's technically ''not'' from the Shadow World Car. Asher himself lampshades how he's not a ''real'' shadow, only for Buné to ask if that's actually the case.
* {{Irony}}: He falls in love with a Mirage Murkrow pet. While the crow symbolism is perfect for a trickster like him, Murkrow are based off witches, reflecting how St. Joan was accused of witchcraft ''and'' Chloe's own association with witches and profinity of fire -- which Asher ''hates''.
* ItAmusedMe: When the Apex arrived in the Shadow World Car, he forced them to do the [[Series/SquidGame Dalgona Game with green tracksuits included]] because he was bored.
* ItsAllMyFault: He confesses to Augustine that he messed up ''badly'' for summoning Specter during the chaos of the Cyan Desert Car and also giving into fighting Chloe instead of trusting Augustine as now his partner is shattered and will take months to completely heal.
* JackassGenie: As [=UnSycamore=], the first two wishes he gives Sara work more like a LiteralGenie, interpretting them in the most straightforward, yet karmic way possible. However, the third wish has him act like this, completely disregarding what Sara wants to instead force her to feel what ''Chloe'' thinks she deserves: a bloody beating for ''everything'' that she and the class put on her.
* LackOfEmpathy: Back as Shadow Sycamore, he showed little sympathy over Lain (his apprentice) ''dying'' to Augustine's hand (who was brainwashed at the time) and stated that he'd just make a new partner. He later admits that he felt horrified at seeing Lain die in the Poring Village Car.
* LightEmUp: Is capable of using Kouha spells.
* LiteralGenie: As [=UnSycamore=], Sara tries to use his wish granting abilities to try get some sort of compensation prize for all her plans falling apart because [[HisOwnWorstEnemy of her stubborness and selfish attitude]]. The first two wishes, he takes completely literally, granting them in a way that'll give Sara what she wants. The third wish, however, throws this completely out of the window.
* MeaningfulName: His true name, Prince Armand Vrana Alchiba, has references to crows. Vrana is Croatian for "Crow" and Alchiba is a star in the constellation Corvus (the Crow) otherwise known as "Alpha Corvus".
* MeaningfulRename: Names himself "Asher", a Hebrew name for "happiness", as his quest is to help regain that happiness.
* MindManipulation: One of the many shady tricks up his sleeves, which he demonstrates by using Brain Jack to make Mirage Pokémon fight each other in the Ninjala Car. [[BadPowersGoodPeople It doesn't make him evil, though.]] The Cyan Desert Car reveals that he was previous a mentor of Paimon, the Goetia Demon whose main specialty is mind control.
* MonsAsCharacterization: Has a dark bird theme, and is a trickster by nature. A Murkrow is a crow Pokémon known for being quite a thief.
* MoreInsultingThanIntended: When he learns that Chloe is wearing a cloak based on Marchosias -- a wolf demon who breathes fire (which is one of his weaknesses) -- he questions why she'd have it and Marchosias' seal on her sheath. Unfortunately, Chloe takes it as an insult and interprets it as why would a girl like her be into such horrible things instead of being what's "socially accepted" and dredging up all of the traumas she had back at school.
* MustMakeAmends: Joins with his other self in order to help atone for putting Sycamore under mind control and killing Lain.
* MundaneUtility: [[DefiedTrope Defied]]. Using his powers to deal with trivial stuff is one of the lines he ''refuses'' to cross, as he reveals to Sycamore when the latter asks him for help with his performance issues.
* MyGodWhatHaveIDone: Is horrified at how he allowed Lain to die by a brainwashed Augustine's hand.
* MysteriousPast: Kaito said that he used to work for someone named "Pie-sama" who was a supporter of '''Lucifer'''. It's eventually revealed that "Pie-sama" was actually Paimon. The Act 2 Prelude reveals that he was the adopted son of two of the Goetias, then most of Act 2 reveals more and more truths about him. Like the fact that he was ''kidnapped'' as an egg from his birth parents and isn't a true shadow.
* MythologyGag: As "Kage", he dressed up like Kaito (albeit a younger Kaito) in a black café outfit like the alternate Kaito Goshikida in ''Series/AvataroSentaiDonbrothers''.
* NeverBeHurtAgain: Proclaims that this as to why he attacked and brainwashed Sycamore so that no one else could ever experience the pain he went through.
* NiceJobBreakingItHero: Hey Asher, thanks for summoning Specter to help with Chloe's anger. Good news? Chloe calmed down. Bad news? ''You also made Augustine lose all hope in himself''!
* TheNicknamer: He likes to give numerous nicknames to people. For example, he calls Chloe "Miss Witch" and "Miss Vermillion", Mallow gets "Miss Nature" and Ryoken gets "Mr. Stubborn".
* NoodleIncident:
** Given that Marchosias and other demons exist on the Train and Asher's reaction just to seeing her ''seal'' on Chloe's sheath, not to mention that he's actually on good terms with the Goetias, he must've done something bad that made him terrified of her.
** The last time he revealed that his master (Auric) was really a Goetia, he was forced into dishwashing duty for a month.
** He also had a magic show with Baal that ended badly as he quickly asks Buné to not reveal it.
* ObliviousAdoption: For the longest of times, he assumed he was the son of two Goetias. It later turns out he was ''kidnapped as an egg'' and raised as a Goetia.
* PassThePopcorn: He eats cup ramen while seeing Augustine brainwashed in the Twisted Lab Car. Yuri himself lampshades how he even ''got'' cup ramen.
* PoorCommunicationKills: Asher knew the ''entire time'' that Buné was his master, the Harvest King, Auric '''and''' Yugure, which would've saved a ''lot'' of heartbreak in the Harvest Moon Car -- particularly in the case of Chloe ''nearly asking Buné to slice her throat''. He admits that his master is very secretive with his identity and that the last time he uttered the name out in the open, he was sent on dishwashing duty.
* RamenSlurp: Does this ''twice'' when he watches Augustine follow his commands to murder Yuri and Vaillant and is doing this in the Ninjala Car with a bowl of shio ramen when his other self is flustered on talking to Chloe.
* RedBaron: "The Prince of Shadows". Apparently it stemmed from his days as the apprentice of King Paimon.
* ReallyRoyaltyReveal: The Palimpsest Car reveals that he's the missing prince of the Royal Aviary Car, as his egg was stolen by Raum years ago.
* RedemptionDemotion: Back when he was evil at The Twisted Lab Car, he was effectively the top dog there, with Teddie even going so far as to call him master. Once he turns to the side of good and unites with Sycamore, his standing is removed and he's forced to hold back significantly while within the professor due to his own fears of going out of control.
* SignificantWardrobeShift: He gains a new wardrobe based on the Ars Goetia demon Caim by Chloe, since it evokes a "fallen angel" look.
* StopWorshippingMe: Screams this to numerous denizens while traveling on the Third Rail as they call him the missing prince of the Royal Aviary Car...which he ''is''.
* SupernaturalGoldEyes: Has golden eyes which reflect that he's Augustine's shadow.
* SweetTooth: If Kaito's flashback is accurate, Au-san had to bribe him when he was called "Kage" with a cookies and cream ice cream cake in order for him to be sociable.
* ThisIsGonnaSuck: Has this reaction in the Cyan Desert Car when Chloe reveals that she now has an artifact that allows her to summon ''any'' of the Ars Goetia demons.
-->'''Asher:''' We're doomed! DOOMED!
* TrademarkFavoriteFood: Ramen appears to be this for him as he eats cup ramen while watching (a brainwashed) Sycamore fight the Windchasers and he's indulging in some in the Ninjala Car.
* TraumaButton: Using his brainwashing abilities after brainwashing Sycamore and making him kill Lain becomes one, and it takes encouragement from Sycamore and Chloe for him to use them again.
* VagueAge: It's not sure how old Asher actually is; he takes on the form of the 30-something Augustine in the main story but was also able to take on Kaito's form when he entered the train at around 6 or 7. And that's not mentioning that he's the apprentice to two Goetias, beings who are ''thousands'' of years old.
* WalkingSpoiler: It's difficult, if not impossible, to talk about him without revealing some pretty major plot twists.
* WhatTheHellHero: Gets chewed out by Vaillant for deciding to reveal that his master was Buné/The Harvest King long ''after'' the horrors of the Harvest Moon Car have finished and when Chloe was minutes away ''from killing herself in despair''.
* WholeCostumeReference: For the Gestalt return concert, he dresses up as [[Anime/YuGiOhArcV Yusho Sakaki]] in one performance.
* WhyDidItHaveToBeSnakes: Is deathly afraid of fire and seeing Chloe casting it causes him to go into a HeroicBSOD.
* WillfullyWeak: Due to being newly awakened and the trauma that was placed on him and Augustine, not to mention what his powers did back when he was an antagonist, he intentionally puts a cap on his abilities.
* WouldHitAGirl:
** He comes ''this'' close to giving Sara an UndignifiedDeath during his stint as an Unown-Sycamore, only stopping by the arrival of the barista.
** After Chloe uses her cloak to search into his soul, first chance he gets, he's ready to uppercut her were it not for Lexi using his papers to handcuff him.
* YouCouldHaveUsedYourPowersForGood: He ''thought'' he was, but once he's told the truth about what happened with Sycamore and what he did, he's forced to confront the fact that he effectively brainwashed an innocent man ''over a paranoid guess''.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Garchomp]]
!!Garchomp
->'''Appears in:''' Seeker of Crocus (First appearance: Prologue)

Professor Sycamore's loyal Pokémon. She lived in his lab as a test subject to her trainer's research into Mega Evolution. But despite her blissful life in the lab, she is still a powerful Pokémon in her own right with her ability to Mega Evolve.
----
* ActionGirl: She's a Pokémon who's always ready to fight, provided the enemy doesn't seem like something that could kill her like a Black Centipede.
* AffectionateNickname: "Chompy" by both Vaillant and his sister.
* BigDamnHeroes: Saves a few cat-like officers in the Ninjala Car from Yung's Mirage Pokémon and later Chloe when she falls to her death.
* DishingOutDirt: Is part Ground-type and learns and uses Dig against the Rock Golems.
* ADogNamedDog: Like most Pokémon, her name is exactly the same as her species.
* DramaPreservingHandicap:
** A Garchomp in battle ''would'' be pretty awesome and make things easier for Sycamore...unfortunately, she got food poisoning from [[LethalChef Shion's]] soup and has to sit out the first raid in the Monster City Car.
** Garchomp has Mega Evolution to have on her, but Augustine only uses this sparingly since she'd rip and tear everyone before they sneezed at her.
* EveryoneHasStandards: Garchomp is a fully evolved Pokemon, who are known to be the BloodKnight and like to battle. That being said, even ''she'' thinks her trainer's insane when he tries to make her fight against a Black Centipede.
* FauxHorrific: She treats being part of dress up in the Harvest Moon Car as torture, as she's forced into a bonnet and dress, much to her chargin.
* FriendToAllChildren: After the Mirage Army attack is over, she is cuddling with some half-cat denizens and later allows Chloe to hug her.
* GentleGiant: Despite her threatening demeanor, she is a sweetheart who is genuinely concerned for her trainer's wellbeing lately. She even allows Chloe to hug her!
* InSeriesNickname: She's given the name "Chompy" by Vaillant and his sister.
* {{Irony}}: Garchomps are one of the most powerful Pokémon in the metagame, but this Garchomp is found herself overshadowed by the other members of the Windchasers even ''with'' Mega Evolution.
* MundaneUtility: At a Cornfield Car, she helps the farmers with their harvest using her scythe arms.
* OurDragonsAreDifferent: She's a Dragon-type but looks more like a bipedal hammer-head shark with scythe-like wings. She's even called a "dragon shark".
* SinisterScythe: Two of them, which are actually her arms.
* TheSmurfettePrinciple: She's the only female member of the Windchasers.
* SuperForm: She possesses an ability to use Mega Evolution and she will keep it since Augustine brought the stones needed along with him on the Train.
* WillfullyWeak: Kind of; Professor Sycamore has the Garchompite needed to make her Mega Evolve, but she typically fights in her base form regardless.
* YouHaveGotToBeKiddingMe: Her look when the Professor tries to have her fight a [[BigCreepyCrawlies Black Centipede]] just ''screams'' this trope.

[[folder:Vaillant]]
!!Vaillant

->'''Appears in:''' Seeker of Crocus (First appearance: The Monster City Car)

A werewolf (now a Silver Lycanthrope after being given a name by Rimuru) who originally lived in a village in the Monster City Car, which was attacked by golems called Rock Crushers. After his reckless attempts to destroy them almost killed his father (who is the village chief) before he was rescued by Rimuru and Professor Sycamore, he realized his mistakes and is tasked by his father to accompany Sycamore in his journey as part of his punishment.
----
* AffectionateNickname: "Vale", by Professor Sycamore.
* AngerBornOfWorry: His aggressive attitude in his debut is due to worry of his family being in trouble.
* AnythingButThat: Screams this after he gets into an altercation with Lexi when Augustine threatens to call his father.
* BecauseYouWereNiceToMe: He was initially hostile to both Rimuru and Professor Sycamore when they first met. But after they saved his family and rescued his father from the brink of death, he apologizes for his behavior and shows a sense of UndyingLoyalty to both the Demon Lord and his new passenger partner.
* BigEater: In the Ninjala Car, he's excited to find out the winner of the tournament gets a dinner at a fancy restaurant and his lunch is a mega beef bowl that could feed four men (and he's reduced to the body of a six-year-old at this point).
* BrainsAndBrawn: When paired with Atticus, he's the Brawn. He's blunt, aggressive and quick to use force against the street cleaners.
* BullyingADragon: Being rude to Sycamore is understandable, given he had just arrived at the Infinity Train and not proven himself to be capable of doing much damage. The same can't be said for his rude behavior towards ''Rimuru'', who's a PersonOfMassDestruction and the leader of the Car that Vaillant's home is at.
* ComicallyMissingThePoint: Due to being stuck in the Monster City Car, there are times where he doesn't understand phrases. For example, when Grace tells Specter that London is his "sugar daddy", Vaillant remarks that London isn't covered in sugar, but has sequins.
* DiggingYourselfDeeper: Nearly does this when he keeps calling Chloe a "Demon Lord" when he talks about how she stopped the Mirage Army rampage. Thankfully, Chloe appreciates the thought and it later becomes one of her titles. Then he remarks that his second comment about her was calling her a princess (which Chloe ''hates''; thankfully Yuri shuts him up at that point).
* DontTellMama: Papa, in this case, but being threatened with his father finding out about his... insensitive words to Lexi convinces him to behave.
* DumbassHasAPoint: In the Harvest Moon Car, after the truth is revealed, everyone is still wondering how the denizens in Little Paws knew how to stay calm. He then brings up how there were five torches by the Harvest Bonfire but only three lit. This clues Yuri in that the torches are set of codes between the Harvest King and the denizens.
* FemaleMonsterSurprise: He's completely stumped when Garchomp's revealed to be a girl.
* {{Foil}}:
** He is this to Lexi. Both of them are Denizen partners to the protagonists and both of them have fathers currently in important positions (Lexi's father is the king of The Library of Flying Books Car, Vaillant's is the chief in a village in The Monster City Car). They were also ''[[{{Unishment}} "punished"]]'' by their fathers to accompany their partners in their journeys for different reasons. Lexi was given the punishment after him lashing out at his father (under the assumption that Titus just abandoned him) and putting Chloe in danger while Vaillant is punished after his reckless actions almost killed his father during a raid. Also, both of them have silver as a color motif with Vaillant becoming a Silver Lycanthrope and Lexi's original book cover being silver. They are given a more "human" form by their passenger partners, but Vaillant only got his after gaining a name by Sycamore, whereas Chloe literally gives one to Lexi via her artistic skills. And finally, Vaillant never encountered the Apex so he has no beef against them while Lexi was torn apart by the leaders years ago, and he wants nothing more than to see them bleed. Their powers are also different: Lexi can fold his papers to create different forms while Vaillant is capable of casting illusions.
** He's also a foil to Atticus. Both of them are the first partners of their respective passengers but Atticus has already had one adventure whereas this will be Vaillant's first time out of his car. Atticus is noble and honorable to the core while Vaillant is somewhat gruff before softening up. Also, Atticus is a corgi while Vaillant is a werewolf that later gains a human form. Atticus is the king of Corginia, whereas Vaillant is the son of a village chief.
* GetAHoldOfYourselfMan: This is more or less what he tells [[spoiler: Yuri during the latter's nightmare therapy, helping him crawl out of the madness-inducing NightmareSequence stronger than ever.]]
* GoodIsNotNice: He is a good guy through and through but between Augustine and Yuri, he's quick to violence if need be.
* GroinAttack: Has been subjected to this twice, once from Sycamore (while brainwashed) and one from Tobe.
* HiddenDepths:
** Seems to hold some jealousy issues, particularly when it comes to comparing his abilities. For example, when Atticus notes that he has an incredible sense of smell -- as Vaillant earlier remarked that his nose is only good for food -- he tries to one up the corgi king by stating his hearing is better.
** He can be very insightful when he wants to. When Augustine is going through his HeroicBSOD in the Cyan Desert Car, he can accurately pinpoint the areas everyone ''else'' excels at and sees how they make Augustine overshadowed.
* HopelessWithTech: In the Model Diorama Car, he wants to make an EngineeredPublicConfession with Augustine's phone...except, as someone who's never left his car before, he needs help on how to actually use it.
* ImmuneToMindControl: [[spoiler:Brainwashing doesn't work on him because immunization from it is a secondary power to a werewolf's mastery of illusions.]]
* InSeriesNickname: When naming Vaillant, Sycamore also gave him a nickname, "Vale" as an easier way to call him. Yuri likes to call him "Wolfy".
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: He can be rather gruff and intense on the exterior, but his heart's in the right place, as proven by his thanking of Professor Sycamore after he saves his village.
* LittleBitBeastly: Upon evolving into a Silver Lycanthrope, he essentially becomes a normal human with the ears and tail of a wolf.
* MasterOfIllusion: Silver Lycanthropes are capable of casting powerful illusions. Vaillant becomes a Silver Lycanthrope after gaining a name. Do the math.
* MeaningfulName: His name is French (or Kalosian as Sycamore puts it) for "valiant", which fits him really well because of his courage and determination born out of his love for his village and his family. His nickname "Vale" also stands for "valley", which also fits with his home beforehand.
* MoreInsultingThanIntended: During their stay in the Ninjala Car, he makes an offhanded remark on how he's stronger than the Apex cause he's not made of paper to [[FlyingBooks Lexi]], dredging up how Grace and Simon tore the paper prince apart and buried him alive years ago. Lexi returns in kind by punching him out of a restaurant.
* MustMakeAmends: Has this attitude after realizing how mean he was to Rimuru and Sycamore and it's part of the reason he joins the latter on his train trip.
* NobleWolf: He's a Silver Lycan and an honorable one at that.
* TheNoseKnows: Subverted; turns out his nose is only good for sniffing out food.
* OnceDoneNeverForgotten: Refuses to chew the Ninja Gum because it'll reduce him to a younger age, and he'll never live his little sister's teasing down.
* OnlyOneName: He was originally nameless, but once he proved he was willing to cooperate with Sycamore, Rimuru gifts him the name "Vaillant" per Sycamore's request.
* OurWerewolvesAreDifferent: Before his evolution, he was a bipedal werewolf. However, once he evolved into a [Silver Lycanthrope], he resembled more of a LittleBitBeastly human boy with silver wolf ears, tail, and claws.
* RequiredSecondaryPower: As he notes in the Model Diorama Car, a caster of illusions must have a very strong mental defense [[spoiler:so mind control is worthless against him.]]
* SpitTake: He does this with ramen when London mentioned that he was teamed up with a White Rabbit (Tokio).
* TakeMeInstead: [[spoiler: He takes over Yuri's intended role during the Gundam fight. Yuri isn't pleased with this.]]
* TookALevelInKindness: He's initially pretty aloof and arrogant towards Sycamore, but once the professor helps save his village from golems, he softens up and decides to join him.
* TwitchyEye: Has one of these when London talks about ''Silent Hill 2''.
* {{Unishment}}: His father "punishes" him by having him become Professor Sycamore's Denizen partner.
* UnderestimatingBadassery: He dismisses Atticus's warnings of Lexi being a threat in the Ninjala Car and boasts that he'll tear the book apart. Unfortunately, he falls for Lexi stating a horror narration and ends up being traumatized from it.
* WeakWilled: While it's not clear whether this trope applied ''before'' becoming a Silver Lyncathrope, it's [[AvertedTrope averted]] afterwards, as his mental resistance becomes strong enough to [[spoiler: become immune to mind control.]]
* WonderfulWerewolf: Initially subverted, as he was quite rude to Sycamore when they first met back when he was a nameless werewolf. However, once he becomes Sycamore's partner and gains a name, he plays this trope straight, being a JerkWithAHeartOfGold who's friendly with his team but aloof to everybody else.

[[folder:Yuri Ichiro]]
!!Yuri Ichiro
->''"My name's Yuri Ichiro. And yes, I'm also stuck here on the Train. Yes, I know how my numbers work. Yes, I'm 11 and I'm not supposed to be in a war zone. And no, I don't care!"''

->'''Appears in:''' Seeker of Crocus (First apperance: The Model Diorama Car)

An 11-years-old boy from Celadon City who found himself on the Train and initially helps the Denizens of the Model Diorama Car as a medic and a mech builder after he ran away from home due to his parents trying to confiscate his toys and video games. After the war ended thanks to their efforts, Yuri joins Sycamore and Vaillant and formed Windchasers as one of the founding members. While a snarky and childish kid, he seems to hide a hidden fragile side of him related to his parents and himself...
----
* AdaptationalNationality: The RP that Yuri's original persona spawned from was ''VideoGame/TheWorldEndsWithYou''. In here, he's from the Pokemon World, especifically Celadon City in Kanto.
* AlternateSelf: According to the author, this Yuri Ichiro is very different from the one in a Discord RP she participated in.
* BadassAdorable: He's an eleven-year-old boy who can and will kick your butt with his humongous mecha.
* BreakTheCutie:
** Was broken at how [[spoiler:Vaillant pulled a TakeMeInstead in the Model Diorama Car, believing everyone would hate him for his attempt of being a hero.]]
** He goes through [[spoiler:his own personal version of nightmare therapy and nearly goes down the path of Blossomverse-Goh if it weren't for Vaillant helping him break out of his despair.]]
* CharacterCatchphrase: Tends to spout "TMI!" when something horrible is about to be explained before adding that that he's only a kid or that there are kids present. Most of the time, this is said whenever [[NightmareFetishist Chloe]] starts talking about something spooky.
* ChildProdigy: At age 11, he's capable of building mechas and repairing soldiers in the Model Diorama Car. His official title is even called "Yuri the Prodigy".
* CoolBoard: In the Ninjala Car, his weapon is the Matsuri Board. He says that in the real world, he uses the board weapon in the ''Ninjala'' game.
* CoolSword: He gets a crystal sword from Blacksmith Pratt in the Toy Brick Car.
* CoverInnocentEyesAndEars: He has a tendency to do this for Tobe and Netto whenever they see something horrifying. Amelia does this to him when [[WalkingShirtlessScene Anubis]] appears in the Cyan Desert Car.
* CrystalWeapon: His sword is made out of crystals from the Crystal Car.
* CutenessProximity: Upon seeing the Porings in the Poring Village Car, he squees and tackles them in a hug. He even goes as far as to hug a copy of ''Rimuru's slime form''!
-->'''Yuri:''' ''(excited)'' I never knew your slime form was so squishy!
* DeadpanSnarker: Very snarky for an eleven-year-old boy.
* EntertainmentAboveTheirAge: He's well aware of the ins and outs of ''Franchise/ShinMegamiTensei'' (and ''Persona''), even though the games usually carry an M-rating. Averted with ''Franchise/SilentHill'' however -- after he saw a walkthrough of ''2'', he ''immediately'' begged his parents to ban him from any other games in the series.
* {{Fanboy}}: Of Porings and ''Ninjala'', which is convenient since the Train has cars based on them.
* {{Foil}}:
** To Chloe, as they're children from the Pokémon world who aren't Trainers, have issues with their parents and seem to have a love of gaming. While Chloe is ''already'' a hero by the time the story starts, Yuri has only been around for less than a week and his first attempt at being a hero ended badly. Both of them are a JerkWithAHeartOfGold who are nicer once you get to know them, but while Yuri learns his lesson and is willing to trust people, Chloe has a bad habit of backtracking on her development and is ''very'' selective over who she trusts. They also have opposite reactions to ''Silent Hill'': Chloe wants to play the games (specifically good-quality copies of ''2'' and ''3'') and has extensive knowledge of them while Yuri ''begged'' his parents to ban him from playing any of them after seeing a playthrough of ''2'' and thus doesn't have as much knowledge on the subject (thus he is unaware of Silent Hill Trio coming from later games). Both of them are known to love video games but Chloe loves horror while Yuri is into games like ''Ragnarok Online'' (given his reaction to Porings) and ''Ninjala''. Chloe is a girly girl who likes boyish things while Yuri is a boy who is into cute things.
** To Goh: Both of them are obsessed with something to the point they ignore everyone in their lives (Gunpla and anime for Yuri and Mew for Goh). Yuri has an older sister, Goh is an only child. Yuri pays little to no attention to his parents while Goh at least understands his parents work very hard. Yuri goes to school all the time while Goh only goes to take tests. Yuri has no friends back in Celadon, Goh has one in Ash and "another" one in Chloe. Yuri shows no interest in being a Pokémon Trainer while Goh has focused his entire life to Pokémon.
* FriendlessBackground: Has no friends back in Celadon City, something he really didn't mind at the time.
* TheGadfly: Teases Augustine by stating he saw his phone's playlist of EDM music.
* GenreSavvy: He knows the ins and outs of story beats because of his love of anime and games.
* HatesBeingNicknamed: Despite his tendency for nicknames, he does ''not'' like being called "Yu-ster" by Tony.
* HeroicBSOD: Ends up like this when he goes through his own nightmare therapy incident and is ready to give into his Shadow's taunts. Vaillant is the only reason why he doesn't end up like Goh.
* HeroicSacrifice: Played with, he ''wants'' to be able to do this in the Model Diorama Car [[spoiler:but Vaillant takes up his place and he's hurt because Vaillant shouldn't be involved in the Gundam war.]]
* HiddenDepths:
** For someone who is a snarky Gunpla and video game otaku, he finds Porings to be ''adorable''. He's also an avid ''Ragnarok Online'' player as he notes how many of Indigo's spells are abilities from the game.
** He's aware of ''Series/LegendsOfTheHiddenTemple'', enough to know enough address the statistics of the number of victories that were obtained in the show.
** He's shown to be into the LGBT+ community as he is sincerely happy to learn that Ryan and Min-Gi are married.
* HypocriticalHumor:
** He'll try to give people nicknames if he can help it, but he won't be happy if somebody ''else'' tries to do the same to him (unless said person is his father).
** Hates horror games but is an avid fan of ''Shin Megami Tensei''...which is ''also'' full of horror and nightmares.
* InSeriesNickname: His father calls him a "little Rockruff" while Tony tries to call him "Yu-ster".
* {{Irony}}: He's into lots of video games but the ''one'' game that he decided to shove into a closet to never see the light of day again was ''Silent Hill''...because if he had done more research about it after ''2'', he would've learned that Pyramid Head was known to be quite a recurring character...
** Speaking of which, he hates ''Silent Hill 2'' for its PsychologicalHorror, yet he doesn't show that type of fear to the ''Shin Megami Tensei'' and ''Persona'' series, which is ''also'' rife with PsychologicalHorror, along with CosmicHorror and existential crisis.
* IWarnedYou: Yuri states this to Augustine in regards to [[spoiler:Augustine getting so mad at his shadow that it grows berserk.]]
* JustAKid: He uses this as an excuse as to why he should ''not'' be hearing gorey and gruesome stuff.
* KidHasAPoint: He joins Vaillant and Augustine because if he splits up, Augustine won't give him peace. The professor himself states that Yuri makes a valid point.
* TheLancer: Yuri becomes the second-in-command of the Windchasers -- even addressing himself as this to Ryoken -- and is a contrast to Augustine's black and white views with his own blend of snark and GenreSavvy.
* TheMedic: Somewhat; he's become a medic and surgeon in the Model Diorama car because the denizens are basically built model characters which he does as a hobby.
* MouthyKid: As part of his EstablishingCharacterMoment, he is known to be snarky and not afraid to speak his mind, particularly towards people like Ryoken and the Hanoi.
* TheNicknamer: He's the one who gives names to his denizen partners and calls Chloe "Miss Witch". He also's not afraid to do it to others like Ryoken ("Son of a Wooper") or Dr. Genome ("Dr. Green Mouth").
* OhCrap: When Augustine learns that Alain's in Silent Hill, he is ''horrified'' as he knows that Silent Hill is ''not'' a fun place. He gets this again when he learns that Alex Shepherd can turn into Pyramid Head because he misinterpreted London's warnings and he never went past ''Silent Hill 2'' so he was unaware that Pyramid Head was a recurring character.
* OriginalCharacter: He's one from a Discord RP made by the author.
* RealMenWearPink: He adores Porings -- many of which come in pink -- and spends most of the time in the Poring Village Car cuddling them in some way.
* RedBaron: "Yuri the Prodigy" as revealed by Wyn.
* RedOniBlueOni: Ends up usually being the Blue Oni in most situations, particularly when partnered with the Red Onis Tony or Chloe. He's the Red Oni compared to Augustine, though.
* RunningGag:
** Whenever he encounters something dangerous, he remarks he's putting it into to a notebook he calls "Angry Kids Note".
** His tendency to shout "TMI!" also counts.
** Covering the eyes of his denizens when he sees something gory or indecent.
** In the Palimpsest Car, he has a tendency of mispronouncing "Palimpsest" and someone has to correct him. According to the author notes, this stemmed from Spinner herself constantly mistyping it and Green Phantom Queen correcting her.
* RuleOfSymbolism: His initial number, ''195'', comes from a WhamEpisode from the Discord RP the author was in on Week 19, Day 5.
* SavvyGuyEnergeticGirl: When paired with Chloe. He's savvy about story beats that goes on in video games, she's ready to face challenges head on with a fiery passion.
* ShutUpAndSaveMe: He acts like this during the fight with Gremory who caught him in a giant hand made of coins. [[PlayingWithFire Chloe]], [[ShockAndAwe Specter]] and [[PaperMaster Lexi]] explain how they ''can't'' help him before he just asks for ''someone'' to get him out.
* SincerityMode: He usually holds a snarky side but he's actually quite happy to hear that Ryan and Min-Gi became married.
* TheSmartGuy: In terms of puzzles, Yuri excels at these. He's the one who helps figure out Indigo's hint in the Boutique Street Car.
* SourOutsideSadInside: He's usually a snarky mouthy kid, but deep down he has a lot of self-loathing issues over how his attempts at a HeroicSacrifice got [[spoiler:Valliant to take his place.]] This comes up in a horrible way during the Twisted Lab Car.
* StrongGirlSmartGuy: When paired with Chloe, which is noticeable in the Boutique Street Car. Yuri is the one who focuses on solving Indigo's riddle, whereas Chloe decides to barrel into fighting him head-on.
* TooMuchInformation: Tends to shout "TMI!" whenever someone starts explaining something horrifying in front of him.
* WhyDidItHaveToBeSnakes: He '''hates''' ''Franchise/SilentHill'' after he watched an entire walkthrough of ''VideoGame/SilentHill2'' to the point that he banned his parents from ever buying any of the games. Unfortunately, Alain's in the Infinity Train equivalent of said town and since he never went past ''2'', he won't be prepared for [[VideoGame/SilentHill4 Walter, Henry]] and ''especially'' [[VideoGame/SilentHillHomecoming Alex]], with Chloe's information about the latter -- that he could potentially turn into ''Pyramid Head'' -- not helping him in the slightest.
* WrongGenreSavvy: Despite his savviness on how most stories go, he assumes that time on the Train isn't synced to the real world. Nope, a week on board the train is a week in real life.

!!Shadow Yuri / Ibn Battuta

->'''Appears in:''' Seeker of Crocus (First appearance: The Twisted Lab Car)

Yuri's Persona which he received from the Twisted Lab Car.
----
* BlowYouAway: He's focused on Garu spells.
* GogglesDoSomethingUnusual: He gives Yuri a VR headset that lets him see the stats of an enemy and allows him to look into the contents of train cars (with a maximum of three at a time).
* MeaningfulName: He's named after a famous explorer from the 14th century who traveled the Middle East and beyond, and had a tendency for, as ''Extra Credits'' calls it, "side trips".
* RoboSpeak: Shadow Yuri speaks like this, reflecting Yuri's love of Gunpla and how he seems to be detached from the world.
* RobotMe: He looks like a robotic version of Yuri.
* SwordAndGun: Wields both a sword and rifle as weapons.

->'''Appears in:''' Seeker of Crocus (First appearance: The Skill Crane Car)

A plush rabbit and Data Spider Yuri rescue in the Skill Crane Car, becoming his denizen partners.
----
* AttentionDeficitOohShiny: Netto is attracted to spider webs and bright screens.
* BecauseYouWereNiceToMe: Yuri saving them is the reason why they decide to join the Windchasers.
* BunniesForCuteness: Tobe is an adorable plush bunny.
* CharacterTics: Whenever someone does a performance, Tobe waves lightsticks.
* CombatPragmatist: If Tobe goes into battle, he'll usually launch himself at someone's face to blind them.
* LivingToys: Tobe is a stuffed animal denizen.
* MundaneUtility: Netto can be connected to Yuri's phone to be used as a speaker and he's great to use a speech-to-text system so people in the real world can communicate with denizens.
* NonActionGuy: Neither of them are able to fight head-on, rather they end up being support like Tobe launching himself at someone's face or Netto's webbing used to tie up limbs.
* TheQuietOne: Neither of them speak.
* SoleSurvivor: Tobe is implied to be one of a few survivors from an Apex raid in his car. The Boutique Street Car reveals that many of his fellow denizen pals ended up in the Toy Shop Car.
* ThoseTwoGuys: They're always seen together.
* {{Troll}}: Netto was only attacking Tobe out of boredom and even Yuri notes that he's a troll.

->'''Appears in:''' Seeker of Crocus (First appearance: The Ninjala Car)

A Mirage Murkrow that Asher falls in love within the Ninjala Car.
----
* AmbiguousGender: Unlike Hewie, who's generally referred to as male, Murky isn't referred to by any pronouns, and Murkrows being one of the Pokemon species ''without'' gender dimorphism only makes it harder to pinpoint what they're supposed to be.
* ArtificialHuman: Pokémon, in this case, as they're a Mirage Pokémon created by Dr. Yung during his stay on the Train.
* BerserkButton: Hurt those they care about, and get ready for a world of pain.
* CastingAShadow: It's a partial Dark-type.
* DarkIsNotEvil: It's a partial Dark Type Mirage Pokémon, but they're friendly so long as you don't hurt those they care about.
* {{Irony}}: Murkrow are based on witches, and Asher's Persona form is St. Joan, who was burned at the stake for being accused of witchcraft. Yuri even lampshades this.
* LoyalAnimalCompanion: Becomes one to Asher, sticking to his side after the Mirage incident is dealt with.
* MesACrowd: One of his moves is Double Team.
* OddFriendship: They're a witch-based Dark/Flying Mirage Pokemon who form a kinship with Asher, a LivingShadow whose Persona form, St. Joan, is well known for being burned at the stake due to accusations of witchcraft.
* ParrotPetPosition: Has a tendency to rest on Asher's shoulders.
* WalkingSpoiler: Murky themselves don't have spoilers, but it's ''how'' they came to become Asher's partner that is the twist.
