12	Morcar ('Mark) was born in 859AD where he served Alfred the Great for a time, becoming a wealthy noble as a result of his skills as a warrior. Sometime during his life he was granted a deal which gave him immortality of a strange sort. Every time he dies, he resurrects in a slightly different form, which he has passed off as different members of the same family over the 1,000 or so years which he has been alive. In present day, Mark is jaded, smug and very knowledgeable. After watching lifetimes of misery, he decides to join the rest of the more classical heroes in their attempt to bring some justice to the world. He relies on his inability to die and intelligence, but will outlive all the rest of the heroes without a doubt, and go back to strolling through the world.

16	* AgeWithoutYouth: Definitely qualifies towards the end of his life, where he becomes as old and infirm as anyone would at 70-100 years old. Luckily he can die, or trigger his resurrection and go back to being young.
17	* AllLovingHero: In the past, he took his immortality as a sign that he could make the world better. This proved to be a faithless task, which came to a head during the reign of King John and the atrocities he committed against his nephew and nobles. He sided with Oliver Cromwell reluctantly, but after watching his 'reign' he helped restore Charles II to the throne. His attempts to help have been pointless and he has lost faith as a result. Until the present day.
18	* ArchEnemy: The one who gave him his immortality. But even he has mostly forgotten who that was.
19	* ChronicHeroSyndrome: In the past, but definitely no longer.
20	* DidNotGetTheGirl: The straight up reason he curses his immortality. [[spoiler: It was her life, taken away, which gave him the power of immortality. Something eternal, (their love), turned into actual unending life.]]
21	* JumpedAtTheCall: Originally, Mark leapt at the chance to be a hero. It didn't work out.
22	* OlderThanTheyLook: If he's in a young state at the time, this definitely applies. He is, after all, a thousand years old. He looks it when he reaches the end of his current cycle.
23	* ResurrectiveImmortality: Mark can be killed and he ages until 100 years old. From there, or if he is killed, he dies and is resurrected by way of his 'Immortal Energy' (a Doctor Who like flash which de-ages him and heals all wounds.) He can use this same energy to heal minor wounds without having to undergo a resurrection.
24	* SuperpowerLottery: Immortality and the complete inability to die is pretty cool. In fact, its definitely one of the cooler powers in existence.
25	* TheAgeless: Subverted! Mark does age like a normal human, he just resurrects himself and de-ages as a result once he gets too old.
26	* TookALevelInBadass: A long time ago! It turned him into the ultimate warrior during the medieval ages, and it's what kept his 'family' so stable over all the instability of the medieval ages.
27	* WeakButSkilled: Mark's immortality is just that; very few fancy other powers, and as such it is only his skill with fighting and his intelligence that stops him being killed every two seconds.
