[[folder:What Could Go Wrong]]
''What Could Go Wrong'' consists a lot of alternative and plain ol' rock, where the band started it all:
----
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=InUx_5MS_ho "There She Goes"]] may be somewhat comical in its context, but its chorus is very catchy and [[LargeHam hammy.]] The outro is very pleasing as well.
* [[https://youtu.be/MbTggEMAtHs "Atom Bomb"]] is one of the most hard rock songs they've done during the chorus and the solo. [[WordOfGod Vinny also stated in their]] [[https://youtu.be/K8w6j40MVbU Another Light premiere]] that it would've been better as the first track on ''What Could Go Wrong''.
* [[https://youtu.be/sW_cLHl0RgE "Back To School"]] is a lot more reminiscent of pop rock, especially during the chorus.
* [[https://youtu.be/k53uq6hSRqg "The Wrong Side of History"]] is a dark song about mocking and calling out a ManipulativeBastard. The lead guitar riff gives it a villainous tone.
* [[https://youtu.be/qE67jPPCjpM "Hazy"]] is [[ShapedLikeItself hazy]] and it's also about a depressed musician, [[HeroicSelfDeprecation where the protagonist is loathing themselves through their pessimism and doubt.]] And with it comes a laid-back riff that gets layered with more and more distorted guitars; the solo is even more beautiful.
* [[https://youtu.be/LGP42Ms9dMo "Job in the City"]] is especially funky, upbeat and popping during the intro and outro, but then slows down in the middle. It's a mixture of psychedelic and funky 60's rock.
* [[https://youtu.be/DfmcBtvDJE8 "She Missed The Beat"]] may be one of their lesser liked songs, but that intro pounds and punches with the drums.
* [[https://youtu.be/If7WGXf0NE4 "Ghost Page"]] is one of their most beloved songs, and for good reason. Those slow and depressing chords during the intro, first few verses and first two choruses are fitting for what it's about. It kicks in at around the halfway point, where the distortion comes in and the drums pound. In the ending, it quickens until it ends on the root note.
* [[https://youtu.be/KF8Ors0xfNM "In A Dream"]] is on the softer and sadder side but it's still catchy, with its psychedelic flavor and loud drums. And Vinny's singing at the outro is impressive.

[[folder:Another Light]]
''Another Light'' is a much more psychedelic and experimental album, considered a step-up by fans.
----
* The TitleTrack, [[https://youtu.be/auN6h5jaMOA "Another Light",]] fully develops the riff at the end of "In A Dream" into a motivating PepTalkSong.
* [[https://youtu.be/FM0qyvsb-SM "Settle For Less"]] is one of the funkier songs on the album, which was originally going to be called ''Settle For Less'' until Vinny and Mike changed it to ''Another Light'' since it worked out better.
* [[https://youtu.be/lNxTGqluur8 "Memories Lie"]] is rather slow to start but bursts in the outro. Vinny used a vocoder because his registers didn't seem to work and also out of laziness.
* [[https://youtu.be/G_IsqQJ7jzo "Tell Me"]] is one of Mike's favorites; Vinny's vocals in this song show a huge step up.
* [[https://youtu.be/-nJj8OOLm-M "I'm So Happy"]] is MoodWhiplash; it's one of the harder rock songs on this album. [[https://youtu.be/Ju4YwrbkaJg?t=2527 Vinny called the solo a "dad rock" moment.]]
* [[https://youtu.be/hpRyJ9IgINw "I'm So Sad"]] might be one of the least liked songs from the band but its riff is catchy; [[LampshadeHanging Vinny pointed out the]] [[https://youtu.be/Ju4YwrbkaJg?t=2750 cheesiness of the song coming after "I'm So Happy".]]
* [[https://youtu.be/vkDQGum7_i4 "Memento Mori"]] was made during a [[CreatorBreakdown bad existential crisis that Vinny was having]]; it's one of the more interesting and unique songs.
* [[https://youtu.be/HCM_HaxFxD4 "From The Stars"]] was a tribute to Music/DavidBowie, and [[InTheStyleOf is stylized]] as such in remembrance of him.
* [[https://youtu.be/F3pEcDAMtkI "Rub Your Eyes"]] gives off the feeling of a mysterious 70's song; that chorus with the "Na Na~" part is catchy.
* [[https://youtu.be/eHpiszkI4h0 "Reno"]] is another hard rock song. Vinny [[LampshadeHanging lampshaded]] [[https://youtu.be/Ju4YwrbkaJg?t=4062 it being in a style reminiscent of]] {{Music/Nirvana}}.
* [[https://youtu.be/Naung_4B0bA "In The Garden"]] is the band's SignatureSong, where [[https://youtu.be/Ju4YwrbkaJg?t=4632 Joe told Vinny to take out as much guitar as he could.]] The song is the most synthy in the album by far.
* [[https://youtu.be/mYHA96U2tgM "Forgive and Forget"]] fits where it is, and sounds similar to [[https://youtu.be/-EzURpTF5c8 "Time"]] by Music/PinkFloyd.
* [[https://youtu.be/JvJ1QQhV_4o "Burn A Picture"]] is the DarkestHour of the album until the outro, where it shows a RayOfHopeEnding.
