AlchemistiD: Huzzah! I has a preorder. Oh, and there are more entries, Gotta Catch 'Em All!

Space Drake: One request: can we please use the "Trope Name: words words" format for the tropes on this page? That's what most other Trek pages use, and in my own opinion it looks a little better than the parenthesis (especially since you can end up with nested parenthesis in some cases).

AlchemistiD: Done, and done.

AlchemistiD: The "Thirty Years" part in the description should be changed. The last canon appearance of the Star Trek The Next Generation cast was in the "Countdown" comic tetralogy, which was the backstory explaining why Spock Prime and Nero ended up in the 23rd century, and was set in the year 2387. As Star Trek Online takes place in 2409, 22 years have in fact passed.

As arguably terrible as 'Countdown' was, it was intended to be a canon tie-in to the 2009 film, and there doesn't seem to have been any subtle or declared Canon Discontinuity.

Space Drake: I'll change it to "30 years since we last saw the TNG crew on film"; not many people may have read the new comic series, so they'll judge the timeframe from when the characters last made a major appearance, at 30 years have indeed elapsed since Nemesis.

Space Drake: Concerning the Undine, AKA Species 8472, is there a trope which describes something which existed in a franchise's previous iteration getting renamed rather suddenly later on? I could've sworn...

AlchemistiD: Thats an interesting question...hmm...I'll do an Archive Binge when I've got some free time and try to find out, if I can resist opening god knows how many tabs.

AlchemistiD: All I've found on that front so far is the Meaningful Rename trope page. Unfortunately the Undine, AKA the artist formerly known as Species 8472, don't seem to fit the criteria.

AlchemistiD: Is it just me, or does the STO version of Calhoun look like he's played by Edward James Olmos? Not that that's a bad thing...he doesn't have any model ships, does he?
