Thisstooshallpass Why isn't Avatar the Last Airbender on the list? I know it was released in english and the creators are Americans, but it uses an anime art style and anime tropes. Is it disqualified from the list for this reason, or is it merely that no one has thought to put it on the list yet? Is there a list of noteworthy Western animation?

Charles Phipps: I gave Robotech its own entry since Macross is merely the most well known portion of it. I also added its sequel Robotech The Shadow Chronicles that I made a page for under it.

Gus: I challenge this 'graph ...

The following series and OVA 's are significant either historically (in either or both Japan and the US), in terms of their influence on later works, or by virtue of their quality and/or popularity.

... as either needing to be absorbed into Essential Anime or as needing to be replaced with a description of the actual content of the section. I am evil and cruel, in this way.

Keru: A cruelty is fine, too. (I'm done for!) How about this: The following series and OVA's are significant because they provide good examples of given anime tropes, or by virtue of the fact that at least one of our contributors enjoyed them thoroughly. ^_^;;; Well, it's probably true, at least.

Gus: I put that change in for Keru, 'cuz I am arbitrary, in that way.

Looney Toons: <sigh> And that was one of the very first sentences I wrote for the wiki, long long ago when dinosaurs still ruled the earth.

<grin>

Keru: Well, it's good to see that at least one of them is still roaming, right? ... Gus, we're going to provide legacy support for old-schoolers like LT on down the line, right? ^_~ /I keed!

Gus: All of LT's schoolin' is new to me.

Looney Toons: <blinkblink> Whatever that means...

Gus: It means that all schoolin' towards me from someone old enough to have like, a pulse and stuff, is new to me.

Susan Davis: Kareshi Kanojo no Jijyou and Taiho Shihauzo are easily misspelled, and I've seen multiple spellings for each scattered around, so I've replaced the links with Kare Kano and Youre Under Arrest (and I hope to have some time to write them up within a week or so).

Seth: Wiped

"Although there are a few anime feature films which are equally noteworthy (such as Akira and Princess Mononoke), they are beyond the scope of a television-oriented wiki, except where they are a continuation or extension of a pre-existing series."

Since the scope of the wiki seems to have since expanded to "Anything that uses tropes" or "Entertainment". We might need to redefine what if anything our limits are now.

Etrangere: I've removed Hana-Kimi because it's a Manga, not an Anime.
Dragon Hawk: So much for "There Is No Such Thing As Notability". HHOS.
Izaak: How do I add Heroic Age?

Mark Lungo: 1. Go to the Noteworthy Anime page.

2. Hit the "Edit Page" button.

3. Add the title Heroic Age, making sure to alphabetize it correctly.

4. You're done!

I'll do it for you; this is just so you know the procedure the next time you want to add something.

Izaak: Okay, how do I add alternate names for existing pages? Like Sunny Pig for Tokyo Pig?

NifT: Create the Sunny Pig page, with a redirect to Tokyo Pig as the only content on it. Done for you.

NifT: Someone apparently decided Beyblade, Bleach, Inu Yasha, and Naruto don't belong on this page. I'm putting them back in. Unless there was an actual reason for it?
