Headrock: Some examples at the very bottom are out of place, at least IMHO. That's Moe Syzlak, Beavis and Butthead, and Meg Griffin. The trope is supposed to work when people do seem to find way more dates (especially of the attractive kind) and still behave as though they are utterly hopeless. The characters mentioned don't qualify.
