^^@{{Koveras}} - I have no experience with PC gaming, however, I have played games that either limit the number of times you can continue or games that won't allow you to continue beyond a certain point, like the BloodyRoar example above your post. For example: [[NinjaGaiden Ninja Gaiden III]], on NES, only allows for five continues; whereas parts 1&2 allowed for infinite continues. Bloody Roar 3 will allow you to continue indefinitely, even against Xion, the game's final boss character. But if you meet the criteria and reach Uranus, you only get one chance to defeat her ([[TheComputerIsACheatingBastard good luck with that]]). If you lose, you can't continue. Meaning, if you want to face her again, you have to start over from the beginning.
