Beautiful characterization. Italy's still Moe without coming off as incongruous to the fic's atmosphere, and some of his comments were so adorable this troper d'awwed loud enough for the entire house to hear. Finland was also a perfect mix of Cold Sniper and Friendly Sniper, and his dark side did a good job to counteract the Wimpification he goes through in most fics.
"Look, listen: I've heard that a good marksman, to get his target, has to project himself on it, so anytime you hit a target it's like you're shooting yourself a bit. So you don't get the target because you don't want to shoot yourself! That's a good thing!"
Veneziano's eyes are now wide open and fixed on Finland. "But you always hit the target!"
