He who chooseth me shall get a Review

Methinks mine title be slightly obnoxious frustrating in its insistence upon, a poor paraphrase of the Bard of Avon. And mayhap it is but t’is still the title I hath chosen to set the tone of my review.

How now, shall I answer the question that I know to be on thy mind? Sith the thing for which the play is known is what thou callst Values Dissonance. If a Greedy Jew whose evil doth put Fagin to shame, be a monstrous villain of great fame, the Hebrew from whom this piece took its second name. (The Jew of Venice).

Shall I then say as some do, that Shakespeare warned of the evil of the Jew? For sooth, I think not that that is true.

If thou wouldst peer through the facts, methinks t’is strange, the Climax. To Shylock, we saith mercy is heaven sent, yet for him to gain forgiveness conversion is a requirement.

Many say that they did well, have not they saved Shylock from the fires of Hell. Methinks this be an alternate Aesop interpretation. For sooth, the Bloody Mary ruled as a bloodthirsty Queen, she had oppressed Protestants quite recently. To convert under pain of death, an Elizabethan would resist that with every last breath. And t’is the reason I see, that the audience mayhap granted sympathy.

Verily, Shylock’s speech makes it clear, that certain Values Resonance is here. Alas, Shylock was fated to be a villain non-designated. And the Jew did play his part when he bade Antonio forsake his heart.

Thus, when all’s done and said, to call Shylock good wills Antonio dead. A villain, aye, but one whose Backstory can make you cry. Thus I say, the Jew’s evil does not tarnish the play.

Lancelot’s flight was something I liked, but his treatment of Old Gobbo was not very nice.

T’is a fairy tale and one of the best, yon story of the Casket Test. In sooth, Bassanio is the better hero.

Methinks, Antonio evaded comeuppance and t’was a great injustice.

The part of the plot I disliked be, Jessica’s conversion to Christianity. (That story feels forced within the context of the play but it works in adding motivation to Shylock).

T’is not the greatest comedy on earth, but the humour doth cause me mirth. T’is not the best play the Bard wrote but methinks it still quite good.

I don’t know how to write iambic pentameter so I settled for rhyming when I could

Personally, I think user reviews are a less than optimal place to try out iambic pentameter or otherwise attempt to emulate the style of a long-dead English playwright. As they're informational pieces, it's best to err on the side of simplicity in order to make your review easily understandable, and use the words and writing style that express your point most effectively.

This is a minor nitpick, but you spell "'Tis" with the apostrophe in front of the T.
