Very interesting and thought-out story. It is primarily centered on Riku and Diva - two characters that do not receive very much Character Development during the anime. Here Riku becomes much more proactive and despite being captive for the majority of the story he is able to undermine the plot of Amshel and eventually make Diva turn against him. The blue-eyed vampire queen, on the other hand, is shown in a more sympathetic side with the inclusion of some flashbacks from her past that show why she became the mentally unstable antagonist in the anime. Chapter after chapter the story masterfully delves into the explosive relationship (including sexual harassment) between an Ax-CrazyYandere and her Non-Action Guy victim who is also The Heart. The story ends with one of the rare cases where The Power of Love leads to Redemption Earns Life. Bonus points that this redemption is not done in a hasty manner but slowly and methodically. Many of the other characters receive their own development as well. These include Saya, Kai, Haji and Irene.
