Tropes Are Not Good: Minimalism Edition

rymdkapsel's appeal is its minimalism—from the colorful, "blocky" graphics to the very simple controls. At first, it seems like a lot of fun—building a sprawling space station while fending off enemies every few minutes. Reactors here, extractors there, along with food processing. There's ambient music thrown in for good measure, to immerse you in the "building big and cool stuff in deep space" concept.

However, there is one, and one little thing that really pisses me off about this game and makes me not want to play it further: no micromanagement.

More specifically, you cannot order specific minions, or focus attention on a particular building unless it's to focus on its construction. This means minions may become spread thin with the only way to control their movement being to juggle orders, or minions doing the right things at the wrong places, such as two minions by themselves in separate defense stations because you don't have a defense-station-to-minion ratio of exactly 1:2, resulting in enemies quickly picking off the loners.

I wouldn't mind that the game eventually hits a Kill Screen if I could just get my minions to go to the right places without clumsy workarounds. Fake Difficulty right there.

Overall, great concept, pretty simple graphics, but one Scrappy Mechanic kills it. My time played for this game on Steam is 33 minutes and I don't anticipate it going above 1 or 2 hours.
