Pulling to discussion:

  • Signature Scene:
    • The scene where Waymond beats up a room full of security guards with a fanny pack is probably the most iconic and talked-about moment in the film.
    • The scene where Jobu Tubaki first reveals herself to Evelyn and kills guards in a hallway with antics straight out of The Mask is pretty memorable.
    • The "In Another Life" scene where Evelyn reminisces on Waymond's optimism and his upbeat view on existence has been singled out as an extremely heartrending and emotional scene, with most freely admitting to weeping their eyes out.
    • Evelyn fighting like Waymond, defeating their enemies not through violence, but pacifying them through acts of kindness.

Per Signature Scene's description: No matter the reason, the Signature Scene is cemented in the minds of the general public. If you have actually seen the work yourself, there may be more scenes that you enjoy, or possibly stick out more in your mind than what people believe to be the Signature Scene.

While these are all amazing scenes, I think the only one of them that the general public really knows about is the fanny pack scene. I feel like the other entries might be a bit myopic because what makes them so moving is that they're the culmination of so many themes and events from the movie and not as easily known to the public. But even people who haven't seen the movie have heard of "Shortround beating people up with a fanny pack."

Pulled the following moments for the same reason:

  • The scene where where CEO Waymond talks to Evelyn in the movie star universe has also become incredibly popular for being an iconic scene about the regret and longing for alternate lives:
CEO Waymond: Even though you have broken my heart once again, I still want you to know ... in another life, I would have really liked just doing laundry and taxes with you.
  • The scene where Jobu and Evelyn converse as rocks has also been considered iconic due to being both a quiet breather and surprisingly emotional.
  • One of the most memorable hilarious moments of the movie is the scene where a bottomless security guard jumps into buttplug-shaped trophy. It Crosses the Line Twice and makes sense in context.

Pulled again:

  • The rock universe scene, if only for being such a testament to the film's storytelling that it became a refrain among fans to express incredulity at being brought to tears by a silent scene with two rocks and onscreen text representing their dialogue, which the directors jokingly likened to a PowerPoint presentation.
  • Main Waymond's "be kind" speech, or CEO Waymond's "in another life" speech. Both are considered exceptional thesis statements for the film at large, and general online opinion has already deemed the concluding line of the latter speechnote  one of the most romantic lines in film history.

If we want to discuss what the signature scene is or isn't, we can have that conversation here.

Pulled to discussion from Memetic Mutation:

  • Anything can go on the Everything Bagel Explanation

That's... the explicit point, there's no mutation there. Literally everything is on the bagel, hence why there's such random unrelated things.
