Does anyone have an opinion as to who might be considered the Only Sane Man in Rapture? If there is such a thing? I have a few candidates:

Fontaine: He's able to identify the flaw in Rapture society ("somebody's gotta scrub the toilets"), and work it until he has full control. And he does it calmly and deliberately, without splicing or descending to the level of Ax-Crazy that other characters have (at least until the end).

Tenenbaum: She realizes just how far Rapture has slid beyond possible redemption and works to save whoever she can.

Mc Donough: He sees through Andrew Ryan's megalomania and is fully willing to do what needs to be done to bring an end to the war.

Suchong: An amoral bastard, yes, but an amoral bastard who's smart enough to make himself indispensible to whoever owns the plasmid industry. Like Fontaine, he seemingly has never spliced, and he is able to manipulate the system in Rapture - even the civil war itself - for his own peronal gain.

It's not so clear in the second game, since things have gotten so much worse and there's precious little sanity to be found. Possibly Daniel Wales? Charles Milton Porter, if we're including the DLC?

What are your thoughts?

Looks like my question was answered in the section about the prequel novelization. Disregard...
