Looking at this:
* BadassBookworm: Sarin and Mori. [[http://www.drunkduck.com/The_Dragon_Doctors/index.php?p=520625 Especially Sarin]], though Mori fits the trope better.
%% I don't know how to track down the old index.php?p= links. It's probably before Mori's chapter; that's all I can figure.
...I noticed that it's something of a Zero Context Example, and while trying to decide what page I would use (e.g. this), I discovered that the Badass Bookworm trope page is specifically about badasses who don't look like badasses because they look like nerds. I'm not sure any of them fit, under that rule.
(Incidentally, the reason why the url was http://www.drunkduck.com/The_Dragon_Doctors/index.php?p=520625 instead of http://www.theduckwebcomics.com/The_Dragon_Doctors/index.php?p=520625 is that the latter is and always has been a broken link and the former is but was at least at some point in time not one.)
Edited by 96.255.225.223 Hide / Show RepliesIt might have been way back when Sarin seemed more like a stereotypical wizard and Mori a stereotypical lab rat. They're all intellectual in their own ways and all able to kick ass in different ways…hmm….
I think the old Bread Milk Eggs Squick pothole was to the comic where Goro off-handedly mentioned "no refractory period."
Hide / Show Replies...chapter 10? Chapter 11? That's an example, though, even if it was originally a link to something else — I'll write it that way.
The end of Chapter 10, when Goro fights off the hospital gang and gets re-muscled. It's the last page, page 45, in my files.
Pulling this bullet:
...because there's no real evidence that Fountain of Youth is a particular interest of Speedball's. (You could reasonably argue that there is a subset of the Stripping Tropes which would qualify, but not this.)
