Added DiffLines:

* KillAndReplace: [[spoiler: The Mayor]] reveals that she's actually [[spoiler: the succubus]] who's been doing this since the founding of the town of Tinto.

Added DiffLines:

* TheyJustDontGetIt: Cary's schemes to rebel against the demons never do any damage to them. On the contrary, since the demons of this world setting feed on pain and suffering, and breed in the subconscious of those who suffer, Cary's plans always wind up helping them instead. Unfortunately, since Cary is a SmugSnake who always assumes she's the smartest person in the room, she reacts ''violently'' to anyone who tries to point this out. Considering she can't be overpowered, she can't be subdued to be made to see reason either.

* SchizoTech: In the early strips, when it wasn't expected to be an ongoing series, it comes off as a pseudo-medieval fantasy world... but then they start making deliveries on motorcycles... and ''doing research on the Internet''. Now it's been dated to 2000 years (or more) in our future, and the technological trappings are harder to miss. [[spoiler: It turns out the Earth has went through 4 different major catastrophies, called "Breakings", that have reduced civilization to the dark ages each time -- the unveiling of Magic to the general public and the subsequent world war that followed, a NuclearWar, a global magical catastrophe, and most recently a dimensional collapse, causing multiple alternate realities to merge with Earth. Poorly.]]

* TheFourthWallWillNotProtectYou: A demon devours Mori's life story (taking on her appearance in the process) and watches her sink into oblivion. [[http://dragondoctors.dhscomix.com/archives/comic/the-end-page-11 Then it turns to the reader and starts addressing them]], saying that by doing this it's attacking everyone who ever had the idea of "Mori" in every universe, including the readers of this very webcomic.

* {{Foreshadowing}}: When Frankie is being interviewed as part of his arrest in Chapter 16, she tells Blue that trying to see Cary's future is like staring at the sun. When Cary assaults Blue in chapter 17, it traumatizes Blue so much she can't go outside, because the sun reminds her too much of Cary's power.

It helps that she already knew magic before emerging in a magical world, and that the culture she came from was compatible with Frontera--the characters point out that if she had been frozen during one of the Dark Ages she wouldn't have fared nearly as well.

** Multiple ones to the manga {{Blame}}. Mori's name comes from a minor character in it, an underground realm called "The Cyber-Dungeon" is a direct reference to it and in [[http://dragondoctors.dhscomix.com/archives/comic/ch-12-page-24 this]] comic, the gun's extra flanges that pop out in overload mode are a reference to Killy's GBE gun.
