This page started out as a part of the trope Gravity Is Only a Theory. The information cluttered the trope description, and also got relevant to another new trope, so it was moved to it's own page.

Am I the only one who is bothered by the fact that "theorums" don't exist in actual science?

The concept of theorum is for categorizing scientific knowledge, not for doing scientific research.

"Actual science" is about expanding knowledge. New theories are added, but old theories get scrapped only if there's a very good reason: The more evidence exists for a certain knowledge, the harder it is to overthrow.

I think the use of "theorum" on this site only encourages confused people to misspell "theorem." Does TV Tropes have a "propose for deletion" button?
