Regarding the Our Elves Are Better...
While they're not the nicest people, I don't think they're as big pricks as the entry suggests. IIRC, they haven't driven the humans and reptilians out, they "merely" settled the good land first and don't let others in, and which comic indicated that they cut down anyone who tried to unite the other nations?

The one that indicated they would was Tarquin talking, using it before an "or something." It was panel 5 of page 2 of this comic
From what Rich Burlew's said in the forums, the elves are just isolationist and rather reactionary.
