Why is Scarlett heading to Scrappy territory? I though she was the Ensemble Dark Horse. What did she do that rubbed fans the wrong way? Did I miss something?
Hide / Show RepliesHer wimpy (initially) personality what with her being a Naïve Newcomer, plus her hair and accent get on a lot of people's nerves. See the discussion boards on IM Db, Television Without Pity and other sources for more info.
Stating the Simple Solution - At the start of the series, it was suggested that Rayna should join Juliette's tour so that she could get a lot of money, sell out stadiums etc. Rayna is later revealed to have money worries due to an investment choice of her husband's. Juliette has a drug addict mother that she tries to hide and has been caught shoplifting, so her stadium-filling abilities will be hampered. The struggle between Rayna and Juliette over Deacon would also be resolved - if they had a joint tour, he could play for both. After finding out why Juliette is the way she is, Rayna could act as a Parental Substitute for her and help her through the issues with her mother. This would, however, make for a short series.
Did I miss the part where they established how Scarlett and Gunner/Avery were able to afford their house before anybody landed contracts? Does Deacon own the property and/or help out? The Bluebird can't pay that well.
