Since it's been clarified that fusion isn't intended to be interpreted as sexual, does this mean we have to change the page image or remove it in the event that no replacement can be agreed on?

I suppose so. If Word of God makes it clear that it's Accidental Innuendo, then it's a bad illustration.

It's not so much the act of fusion itself in that context, though; it's the way they dance. Leaping in between someone's legs to fuse is still radar dodgey even if fusion itself is not. If we need a replacement, maybe the Wiener in Hand sign would better suffice?

I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.

Pearl and Rose's fusion actually *did* trip the censors in a few countries, too (although I guess that was more about the lesbianism than the moves.) But yeah, seconding the Wiener in Hand sign.

Is having commented-out headings for every episode really a good idea? I think it just encourages people to reach for "examples" in order to fill them in.

Yes, a lot of fusion scenes do have sexual undertones, but I think comparing Jasper's corruption to an STD is a huge reach. There's nothing to support the interpretation besides Peridot's squicked reaction, which could just as easily be because she's looking at gem Body Horror, and... come on, it's a kids' show. If fusion were always 100% sexual, hopefully we wouldn't have Stevonnie or Smoky Quartz.

'When Steven and Connie accidentally fuse in front of Greg, their reaction is exactly the same as if a father walked in on his son in bed with a girl, and all the awkwardness that entails. Connie begs Greg not to tell her parents that she's been fusing with Steven because "they wouldn't understand".'

I think this entry's a reach. Connie just doesn't want her parents to know about magic stuff, and as such, wants to keep Stevonnie hidden. Sort of a reach to force the sexuality in fusion onto the kids when it doesn't apply, because this doesn't feel intentional.

Would this count as under the radar?

In the episode "Joy Ride", Steven picks up Jenny easily with his strength. His right hand can be seen moving across her butt and her reaction face.

Does it say that his hand is moving across her face?
