-The arrival of the Protectors of the Plot Continuum (this one might involve some research)
-Maybe a (timely) rescue of slaves/other rebels from the Disgraces forces/armies?
-The return of several music gods/goddesses?
-Something to do with ponies?

You could do something with the fallen pantheon. I think that could be an interesting additional faction in your storytelling, maybe as antiheros and anti villains. Also, I think more inter-house rivalries between the main gods would add some drama from the heroes side. As much as everyone loves to hate the disgraces, we know they're going to lose every time. But if, say, there was one party of interest competeing with another party of interest among the pantheon (and of course, odd match ups/rivalries are typically the most fun), then that could increase the amount of avenues you have to create interesting drama.
Also, screw ponies. Do something with dinosaurs :D
Due to edits in the first 5 chapters, I will have to make some changes. Let's just hope it won't take too mutch time.
I've decided to discontinue this series. Considering how Gods in the Disgraces are constantly removed or changed for different reasons more than any of the other houses in the Pantheon, I see no reason to keep going. Mutch of the chapters are already outdated since many of the mentioned gods are no longer mentioned in the website anymore (Ronan for example).

Interesting theory, where are the nature gods? I am surprised that they have yet to show and "clear the air" so to speak. Don't forget that Calgar cannot fight the Emperor. I can only see the Mary-Sues gaining temporary advantages. The mages on the side of the pantheon are more numerous and better supported. Perhaps Mr. Rogers is attempting to reverse the power-steal effect.Then there's the idea of dance-fighting, the gods have better singers and the possibility of "The Power of Rock." Even the council of Evil should be fighting for their lives as this means extinction of all. I could see Hexxus devouring the waste-products of that doom-cloud, singing the entire time. One last thing, where is Kamina.

Perhaps it should be that the Sues are in a massive Xanatos Gambit, directed by Batman, Xanatos, the SCP Foundation's Dr. Clef, and Thief. It then turns out that they forgot a massive number of other deities, such as Kratos, Altair, The Nostalgia Critic and his allies, and Kirby. These alone should be enought to retake the Pantheon.

Ok I will give you a bit of a clue of what the future will hold for when I actually decide to continue with it.
I have planned to make the story more based around the followers and priests, about their missions to bring back the gods. At least the first few chapters will be like this. In later chapters, the gods will have more influence in the story.
