"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanWell, I think it's a one-time and regional occurrence but I'd like more information on this: Yu Yu Hakusho manga, the Sensui saga, when they go to the Mushiyori district (14th volume, if I'm not wrong), they make a whole lot of puns involving holes and bugs in the Brazilian translation. Does this happen anywhere else?
Final Fantasy 4: After Years NEVER EVER STOPS with this. Never. NEVER. (Im only gonna post a couple here, because I dont like being insane.) Worst of all they dont always make sense. And some things you know make sense, but youre not sure why.
There are tons of examples. My favorite is "News Eye" a Float-eye type monster that can shoot lasers and is surrounded by those godawful bats why spend their turns draining you (There should be a trope about those damnable bats. Its almsot as if their entire purpose in ever version of reality is to piss you off.)
The best one falls into fridge...Well its a fridge SOMETHING. A golden Armored Construct. Going by the name Armstrong, He's a bit of a jerk boss but when you beat him, you get an inexplicable amuont of EXP (1,969) and Gil (1,969). Oh, and you fight this boss on the moon. Yeah felt like a bit of a jackass to not have caught that one earlier.
This page needs some natter cleanup. Anybody care to help?
Free bacon!I don't get the pun. Disco, tent, winter? I justify my ignorance by saying that English isn't my first language. xD
Hide / Show RepliesWell then you wouldn't get the idiom. Whatever your language is, I don't think I would get bad puns in your language, even if I knew it.
I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid. It's from Shakespeare's Richard III. The actual quote is "Now is the winter of our discontent made glorious summer by this son of York."
in Kirby's Epic yarn, they have a lot of puns, but i forgot some of them. can ppl help?
