Do we have a trope where the Hero saves the day only to be bullied by ungrateful villagers? ( townspeople, citizens, it really is not the point ) Cause it looks like this trope overlaps in its examples with my description, not the trope explanation of villagers collaborating with the villain. And if so, do we need to rewrite this trope, add a Type 2 situation, maybe?

Might want to ask in the Trope Finder.

The following Zero Context Examples have been commented out and copied to here. Please don't add them back unless you also add context to show how they fit this trope.
Literature
- A Series of Unfortunate Events. The Vile Village is a great example.
Western Animation
- SpongeBob SquarePants. Sponge Bob might as well be the king of this trope. It's amazing how stupid and uncaring the citizens of Bikini Bottom can be.
- The infamous AIDS episode of Captain Planet.
Trope is now Ungrateful Townsfolk per this TRS thread.
