Hey, why can't I add an example? It keeps telling me "No Real Life Examples". But the example I'm trying to put down is for a cartoon. What gives?

"In one Batman comic (I think maybe during Broken City) a cop remarks that the answer to the issue someone has posed to them of what would make for a good Gotham City "reality show" would be The Outer Limits."- I know what this is referring to and it's off. It's Published in the War Crimes collection (Aftermath of War Games), not Broken City.

The Cop in question was Gorodn's replacement as Commissioner during the 2004-2006 era. He didn't receive a letter, he commented on how most Cops say the most realistic Cop Show is Barney Miller, at the end of the story after speculating about what "Criminal Mastermind" was behind trashing the mayor's Car, and it turning out to just be Killer Croc on a random rampage, he says "Want a realistic Show about being a Cop in Gotham City... Try The Outer Limits".

How about a Trope for Weirdo Magnet? I noticed an interesting Lamp Shade Hanging in the Pokemon episode Clafery Tales, after the Alien Researcher introduced himself, Ash says "How do these people find us"

Like with Mordor, do you think we should purge the Real Life section in the interest of objectivity and avoidance of Unfortunate Implications? Yes, I enjoyed the now-deleted Real Life sections for Nightmare Fuel, The Woobie, and several others (and contributed a lot myself), but I can understand why The Powers That Be decided they were becoming a liability.

I would say that The Doctor himself is not a weirdness magnet, rather that he is a piece of weirdness that weirdness magnets attract. In the Doctor Who series, London just happens to have a weirdness magnet in it. I think Big Ben is the magnet.
