Why is there no Eastern European animation in the list? 50% of Soviet science fiction cartoons is just insanely creepy robots. The other 50% is unnecessarily creepy aliens.
I think Mecha-Mooks probably fall into this trope often. Even if the villain they work for isn't exactly creepy, or dangerous.
