- fun. made it all the way to #1 with the 2011/2012 megahit "We Are Young", which was followed by the #3 smash hit "Some Nights". They managed one more top 20 song before vanishing from the face of the earth.
This example seems debatable. It seems too early to tell here, especially since it's only been two years and they haven't even released their followup album yet. Insert witty 'n clever quip here. Hide / Show Replies
Yeah, that seems a bit premature.
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.Do they have a followup planned?
Peace is the only battle worth waging.Three years later I can tell you that this was the last we would ever here of fun. but that "Carry On" should have disqualified them from the list in the first place.
If Lorde doesn't qualify, there's no way Carly Rae Jepsen, Mike Posner, Iggy Azalea, Soulja Boy, MC Hammer or fun. should qualify.

Peace is the only battle worth waging. And I did provide an example of people on the Internet calling Lorde a one hit wonder within the past few months. Although like I said, I think it's completely ridiculous to call her a ONE hit wonder considering how well "Team" did. However, two is reasonable considering the fact that none of her other songs did as well as "I Really Like You," "Please Don't Go" or "Carry On" yet Jepsen, Posner and fun remain on the list.
“Green Light” peaked higher than “Carry On” or “I Really Like You”, though.
Peace is the only battle worth waging. There are songs that peaked higher than "Green Light" that this list doesn't count as hits. If that is the argument you are going with then every artist with three or more songs that peaked at #19 or higher must be removed.
Also, "Green Light" only peaked higher than "Carry On" by one spot and even that was only due to release sales. "Green Light" only lasted on the Hot 100 for 9 weeks while "Carry On" and "I Really Like You" both lasted for 20 weeks and would have lasted even longer if not for the 20-week rule. To top it off, "Carry On" has been certified 2x Platinum while "Green Light" is only 1x Platinum and "I Really Like You" (which is also 1x Platinum) has 214m views on its official music video.
I rest my case. You are grasping for straws just because you don't want Lorde to be on here.
Edited by ryanisbetterWhat about those with only three or four hits? Will there be a "Three-Hit" or "Four-Hit" Wonder pages coming or do they also fall under this trope?
Ayn Rand wrote four books in her lifetime but is primarily known for two: The Fountainhead and Atlas Shrugged.
Really? From what I learned in high school, Anthem is as well known as, if not more than, the Fountainhead.
I would suggest The Hooters, whose two hits are "And We Danced" and "All You Zombies".
