- The Agents of SHIELD example seems more like a general lack of research than anything to do with "symbology" — it's not like they used the badge of the Faro Regional Police in an incorrect context or something, since there simply isn't one.

I can't parse this name, so I put it up in Trope Repair Shop with this crowner. If anybody can give a clearer meaning as to what this trope is about I'd be much obliged.
