Does John Cena vs Brock Lesnar really count as a squash match? No, I didn't watch the match but 16 minutes reads more like a No-Holds-Barred Beatdown to me.

Is this just a wrestling-specific version of Curb-Stomp Battle?

This has been to the trope repair shop before. The consensus I believe, was that professional wrestling can have examples of people being curbstomped without actually being squash matches, such as one wrestler beating on another and getting disqualified, thus losing.

Don't really know why though, did not stick with the discussion because I did not care too much.
