I think the Anime and Manga section could use some cleaning up. Some manga examples ran for three or four years, which isn't too bad for manga, and some anime examples fall under 12-Episode Anime which has been fairly standard for anime for over a decade. I've added some examples of manga which had very short runs by comparison (several Shonen Jump series never truly got off the ground and only ran a few months before being cancelled due to lack of volume sales).
A show that ran for 65 episode or less within just one season is short ran
The description here needs a lot of help. "One to two seasons"? A lot of shows don't get a second season, or weren't meant to have more than one, so two seasons doesn't actually stand out that much...
And how can it be the supertrope of Short-Lived, Big Impact and Too Good to Last if being forgotten is part of the definition?
Hide / Show RepliesYeah, removing that and 12-Episode Anime from the description.
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them. There was this show that aired on Disney Channel a few years ago that only lasted a few episode. It was a terrible show, and almost no one watched it. As such, I don't know of anyone who remembers it. I haven't been able to find any information on it. This is driving me crazy. Does anyone know what show I'm talking about? I can't remember the name of it. It was about this surfer in Australia. It was a drama show (probably part of the reason no one watched it).
Is there a reason why Firefly wasn't on the list? Seemed like a rather odd omission, as it's one of the most famous cases of Screwed by the Network....
Hide / Show RepliesRead the description. It's not about shows that are just short, it's about shows that are short and forgotten.
Per ATT, this page has been cleaned up and three categories split off.
I know more about obscure 1990s Middle Grade Literature novels than most people.
