Also what about ships that AREN'T instantly ship teased, weren't predictable from the start and would likely have not been considered out side of the 'ship everyone' fringes, then happens later and works really well, such as Series/Friends with Chandler and Monica, or April and Andy in Parks and Recreation
I can't find a shipping trope that is the opposite of Fan-Preferred Couple, you know, where the Official Couple is hated by vast swathes of the fandom, not simply because they create examples of Romantic Plot Tumor but for other reasons. For example Tim/ Barbra in Batman: Arkham Knight, which only impacts the plot to make a few What the Hell, Hero? moment's of Bruce's worse, isn't a popular ship (in the Batman comics section of Fan Fiction.net back in 2015 I don't think ANY stories of that ship were prominent), and sank Dick/Babs, an Official Couple in many comic canon. Another example, albiet more to do with Romantic Plot Tumor reasons would be Arrow's Olicity.
In regards to all the ship puns....
"Prepare Ship For Ludicrous Speed?"
What, if anything, should that trope be?

"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanIs there a reason that almost all of these tropes have an image related to Avatar: The Last Airbender on their pages?
I don't really like these pages. They seem to imply that most, if not all, shippers are rabid. I myself ship Just for Fun and don't get upset over other pairings.
I'm alive and less annoying than ever before. Hide / Show Replies
