I thought of a new category: creating newer and more destructive means to kill and destroy everything.

Shouldn't this trope be called Scale Of Technological Sins?

Darned if I know. I just deleted the section. If someone can explain what this eight category was supposed to be, then write it down and you can restore the examples.
See you in the discussion pages.

It's a joke on people who scrolled to the bottom to find the most extreme examples first. I on the fence regarding whether is should be there or not, if someone else wants to restore it, go ahead.

Bioshock probably fits into several of these categories, but I'm not sure which.
Metal Gear Solid definitely fits into a lot of stuff here.
1. Automation: The goddamn patriots AI controlling humans 2. Hubris: The AI enhancing soldiers by controlling their emotions... Nanomachines 3. Transhumanism: The cyborg ninjas, with Raiden being one who even has white blood. The genome soldiers... 4. Immortality: Solidus was kept alive by technology as not much more than a corpse, a burnt up remains with repressed consciousness... Also Big Boss was kept alive like this. Vamp was genetically engineered to rapidly heal everything. He gets shot in the head twice (with scars and all) and otherwise killed numerous times, but just takes a break and gets up in a few minutes again. Until his nanomachines were shut down, then he was capable of actually dying from wounds. Maybe they should have blown his body up to kill him? 5. Cloning: Les Enfants Terribles, the Snakes being created as soldiers, cloned, to only live 40 years (sped up aging) 6. I am unsure here, but there is a lot of cloning and all, but there has been no mind transferring afaik. No, Liquid Ocelot is not. Spoiler: Ocelot just got insane and uses hypnosis to get Liquids personality... Liquid is dead and so is his mind... in a way. 7. The patriots in a way, just that they're just a computer now, no human made into a deity. Some want to become figurative gods, though.
I don't think I have the writing power to directly edit it though...
