Does it count if the character was always a love interest but the adaptation makes her an IMPORTANT love interest?
I'm feeling strangely happy now, contented and serene. Oh don't you see, finally I'll be, somewhere that's green...
Thinking about adding this to the A&M section:
- While, in the main games, Misty was just another Gym Leader, her equivalents in adaptations seem to have contracted a crush on Red's equivalent (and/or vice versa) in practically every Adaptation (including Yellow). Likely due to the fact that the rival's sister is only a bit character in the games and not even that in all but one adaptation*. It's possible that Whitney (or perhaps Bugsy) would've suffered this as well were it not for the addition of a female Player Character in Crystal.
