Removed:

  • Not a Grandpa, but in Wolverhampton in the middle of the UK, there was a chap lived in a tent in the middle of the ring-road that was a kind of local landmark/celebrity, called Fred the Tramp. When he died, it became known that he was actually an ex-Nazi living in exile from the guilt.
    • Debatable, since he was actually Polish. Poles were not allowed to serve in the SS.
      • Don't have to be in the SS to be a Nazi.

The German in the picture caption is quite gratuitous, my proposal for a grammatically correct translation:

Opi kickt auf Anordnung des Führers jedem in den Arsch! Der Führer hat ihm den Befehl gegeben, in Amerika zu leben und ein Puppen-Hobby aufzugreifen? Wozu?

Translation: Grandpa kicks everyone's ass by decree of the Führer! The Führer gave him the order to live in America and to pick up a puppet hobby? What for?

The problem: I don't know the Family Guy episode, and therefore wonder:

1. Is this a translation of an English quote, or was it already in German in the show? (We should only outright replace it in the first case.)

2. What is a puppet hobby supposed to be??? Is that meant literally (collecting puppets or something), or is this meant in the sense of an alibi hobby, in order to remain inconspicuous??
