This seems like an excuse to be a Take That! at Nancy Grace, rather than a real trope.
Hide / Show RepliesI'd say keep it, if there are more examples. Reminds me of how the Mean Brit notes how a lot of these are Simon Cowell expies. I'm not sure if there is a trend of the same thing with Nancy Grace, but it's possible.
HodorIf it is a Take That! at Nancy Grace, it was only because Nasty Grace was a Punny Title and Nancy Grace is a well-known example of this trope. SURELY accusative reporters exist in shows and fictionland.
yes, i can imagine the trope easily from the description; i have no idea who nancy grace is and i don't like a constructed insult against her as a page title so while a renaming may be in order, I see no reason for a cut.
Edited by SomeSortOfTroperLooking at the examples, it's kind of striking how there really are several instances where the character's name is a blatant indication that they were based on Nancy Grace.
Even if she's not the trope name, that seems notable enough to note that she's a common inspiration.
